Samoan Siva Tau vs South Africa

Samoan Siva Tau vs South Africa

This is from todays game between Samoa and South Africa at Ellis Park in Johannesburg. The Manu Siva Tau is the Samoan war dance, performed by the Samoa's sporting teams before each match.

It instills a huge deal of pride & passion as well as serving to be a fantastic psyche up for the players.

Le Manu Samoae ia malu ona fai o le faiva,le manu samoae ia malu ona fai o le faiva
Le Manu Samoa lenei ua ou sau
Leai se isi Manu oi le atu laulau

The Samoan war dance has nothing to do with the Haka...its totally different, you would have to be a Pacific Islander to understand it in pls do not make judgments on things u do not understand....cheerio

We warriors through thick and thin and if u can do better then a samoan cuz I am 1 and I'm proud to be 1 we dont copy you'r damn haka we create our own generation to generation were son's and dsughter's of leaders. And fyi we are islanders and we work hard for what we have. Please u havent seen a samoan untill u have lived with 1. U go bust ur ass, they say word's that empowers them to succeed if yall goin put them down for that yall should be ashamed if u dont got notin nice to say dont waste you'r time

The Siva Tau is definitely a different expression and meaning then the Haka, as well as the Sipi Tau from Tonga. I am Tongan and i believe and feel that each chant has passion and meaning far beyond comprehension! Whether or not it is from New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, or my island Tonga, it is all filled with meaning and passion!!
