Japan crunching tackles on Canada
A thrilling final try and equalling conversion in extra time was the lifeline they needed. A fair result and one of the most exciting ends to a match I've seen all tournament.
Earlier in the game though there were some huge hits put in. Real bonecrunchers that made the Cannucks think twice when taking it to the line. Great to see guys who are normally known for being small and fast putting in big hits.
I'm neither a Canadian nor Japanese fan, but for the neutral, a fantastic game of rugby with a nailbiting finish. In a lot of ways it felt like a victory to Japan though.
We'll try get the 'equalling' final kick up here soon.

Last one was nice and low, tackle from the book, but hard anyways. Shame to see those lesser teams go, but its all for the greater good. The finals!

anyone know who won that game? japan got a last minute try to tie it, but mediazone ended the coverage right after!!! japan played great though. :)

some of the japanese tackling was amazing. for a while it was like they had a personal vendetta against the canadian outhalf.

I agree with you the last takle was perfect nice and low with a good body position the canadian fly half had no chance of getting pasteven though i dont think he wanted to.

none of the tacklers were actually japanese though-there just naturalised kiwis. sorry to be a party pooper.-next world cup to japan! gogrugbynut
