Try Savers & Rib Breakers 7 - RWC Edition
With a brilliant rugby World Cup having just finished, it's now time for the much anticipated latest installment of the widely acclaimed Try Savers & Rib Breakers.
In this edition we feature some classic clips from the 2007 tournament, some of which you may have seen before on here, others that are totally new.
It also features a few extras from previous tournaments that are bound to stir the memory banks.
So sit back, relax, tell the boss you're having a 5 minute break, and enjoy these bone crunchers from possibly one of the best World Cup's to date.

great stuff, but I think you shouldnt have put that vickery trip. its neither rib braking nor try saving and its certainly not in the spirit of the game

good point with puttin the vickery trip in there...even england fans were ashamed when he did that. Maybe replace it with the famous Toby Flood and...cant remember his name, might have been Dan Hipkiss, bringing down the man mountain that is Seb Chabal...so frustrated was the monster that he;d been brought down by two small backs that he punched the floor in frustration. Cracking video anyway, well done.

to say great site doesnt really cover it..... however, i hope there is part two of the world cup rib breakers vid as there are some big hits missing?

Awesome vid, better than i could ever do, would be cool to see another vid though, just a few like spear tackle on simon shaw, or maybe a dirty RWC moments and have some of the disagreements between players and some of the nasty tackles. awesome video though!

good video, great website, but i would love to see wilkos tackle on pelous that forced him to leave the field. I was hoping it would be in there but mabye you could do it as a defining moment of the world cup I think it was one of frances downfalls. plus i forgot to record that game. PLEASE put it up! thanks

Nice to see Mick Skinner vs France - one of the greatest backs-to-the-wall tackles you'll see. Needed a big hit and he definitely delivered.

good vidbeing english, i noted every clip that the english were in, all but one out of around 10 was one of an english player being hit/fouled hard,where are the hits by english men? like chabal being dumped? burger been smashed, or any of a number of wilkos hits

I'm English and I have to say that the Australian No.7 hit on Sackey is illegal I think, I may be wrong but I think it is, as he did that repeatedly. Also why weren't any of the tackles Sackey put in on Habana shown. Overall brilliant video. Well Done!!!

anyone remember the hit about 2 or 3 all blacks made on a player (possibly from italy) which drove him back about 20 metres? tht should have deffo bin on here!!apart frm tht........gd skills!

I love the rugby dump compilations. I was going to link this one to a mate of mine but then I realised that once England have been made to look like the court jesters. We leaked few tries during the world cup (less than SA)and didn't to too badly for underachievers. Defence and big hits being their strong point...but... suprise suprise the editor missplaced them. shame...again

Hey everyone who's has complaints about missing clips:Sincere apologies from me...It was an entertaining world cup, and as a result I spent most of my time enjoying the games as much as possible and not taking note of all big hits etc.I know I omitted a few crackers. A special pardon to any English blokes out there who feel hard done by...it's nothing personal. Maybe I'll arrange a little England compilation with all your big tackling soon...Again, sorry for leaving things out. Can't get 'em all I guess.-Graeme

thanks for the great articles. but can you please switch back to youtube or use something else than myspaceTV to host your vids ?It's a pain in the ass to open the full page with Firefox, it's not going full screen either, and it's not working AT ALL on some Opera (especially Opera on Wii. But Youtube/Dailymotion works perfectly on the Wii.. go figure..)I loved watching the Try Savers & Rib Breakers directly on my TV, fullscreen. Now I can't do that anymore, and it's a shame :(

Great work!Since I found this page a couple of months ago I,ve been telling all my rugby friends to check it out. Everydoby loves it.Thanks for the clip on the Pumas. Its really nice to find that people from other countries recognize the passion we play with. It wouldnt hurt to see more of the Pumas, right...Cheers!

i always wonder why i never see many wallabies in these clips. The wallabies put on some good hits at this RWC, look at Mortlock.

Great vid, but would have loved to have seen more hits from the South Sea Islanders, not just Rambeni. Also, what about that perfectly legal double hit on Burger in the SA-Fiji match? Oh, and while I'm English, I wish you could have shown the hit the USA replacement prop put in on Chuter in the 2nd half of that game, it was huge!Also, while not necessarily a try saver or rib breaker, the moment from the England-Tonga game where Moody, having already been smashed by the Tongan 7 (apologies, I don't know his name), just about ducks under a tackle that, had it connected, would have taken most of his upper body off!

ME and my dad coudlt stop laughing at that point.

i reckon the best team try was not even in there. the tongan try set up by Hola and Lilo in the Tonga vs. South Africa game was the best.

I'm from the states, and I'm just learning to play the game of rugby on my club team at college, but I have to say rugby dump has been great. There aren't a lot of places here where rugby is broad casted, so this website has been a great help to me and also a great distraction from homework. Thanks so much.Cheers,Sean

Someone commented earlier that almost all of the clips that the english are in, the english are being hit not hitting someone. The reason for that is that everyone hates the english and the english couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. No im joking its just that the other hits were much bigger and caused more commotion

Andrew, if your going on about Scotland (i apolagise if i start this) you scraped through your pool your rarely score tries and all Scotland does is try to laugh @ everyone else look closer to home mate.
