Marius Joubert play acting after a tap on the head
As mentioned in the comments section of my post about David Knox milking a penalty, Marius Joubert went completely overboard against Munster recently, with this shocking display of poor sportsmanship.
After receiving a tap on the head from Munsters Rua Tipoki, Joubert rolls around on the floor as if he's been hit in the face by a sniper from above. It looks like he was claiming he got poked in the eye, but from the angle he got tapped I don't see that as being the case.
Terrible acting and poor, poor sportsmanship by an international player who should know better.

Cyber Nanny RD here - any racist, childish or cursing comments will be deleted, so don't even waste your time. I post videos for you to watch for enjoyment and interests sake. I don't appreciate these comment boards being trashed with bad language and insult slinging. Be a man and join the forum if you want to engage in adult conversation. Yes quite right rugbydump - slinging insults at each other from behind the safety of our keyboards is rather cowardly and more than a little childish. Much like Mr Joubert's actions here in fact. The real clincher is that Joubert looks to see who patted him on the head and when he sees that it's a member of the oppo starts to roll around like an utter buffoon.

Thats a real football move.Easy to solve though, Shambok the dude or dont pay him the months wages. One of the greatest things about ruggers is its no-nonsence no play-acting. At a minimum the guy should get a wedgie from his own team mates. As they say in Vereniging - ' Marius jou Pilik'

I dont like it, but I think whats worse is the guy hitting him in the face, cheap shot, he is the one lacking a little sportsmanship!

He didn't hit him in the face, he gave him a pat on the head.It's commonplace in most rugby games these days, and regardless of the fact it's sometimes done in disrespect, it doesn't warrant such a immature and faggot like response.

Owen that has to be the most hillarious remark i have seen on rugbydump. Hitting him in the face??? Don't make me laugh. Look at TS&RB1-8...Them is REAL hits.

haha! that is funny, maybe he should be playing soccer! I despair over the state of rugby these days... we used to have these cool ads in NZ...you know the Buck Shelford one, where he gets some loosened teeth, plays on, a stray blow loosened his 'privates', a head clash, blood everywhere... only the second time he never finished the game... ahh, when guys who played rugby were real men... Now you get a little tickle on the face, its go cry to mommy???

I dunno, if you really look, he could actually have got one in the eye. I mean, it takes very little pressure to make an enormous amount of pain when it comes to eyes. I can see how someone could say he was acting, but it looked like it could be either to me. Being a rugger, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

If you manage to see the disallowed Munster try in this game( scored by Lifemi Mafi) you'll see more playacting from Joubert.It seems that his display in this clip is far from an isolated incident.It really is a disgrace that such behaviour is allowed to seep into rugby.Joubert's actions put a sour taste in my mouth regarding Clermont which is a pity because they're a fantastic team.

Donnacha, I realise it was just a flick, but did it have anything to do with the game? The clock was stopped, it was just instigating. All I said it was cheap. If you think its part of the game, thats fine. Also note, I did say I did not like it, I was stating what I liked less.

there was no way that could have in any circumstance caused him ti be hurt. In football you will often see players pat opposing players on the head and they don't go down. Never mind rugby ! Anyone who could imagine that as being dangerous or an instigation should have their head checked !Third Centre

I'm not sure why everyone's so surprised. It's common knowledge that South Africans are cheats and the rugby equivalent of Italian footballers. They need to learn that winning without honour is not winning at all.

this is a disgracenothing lessits whats seen in football not in rugbyim really struggling here not to write something extremely abusive but this aint the place for itit shouldnt be seen in any sport anyway its just plain wrong, but im so dissapointed to see it on a rugby pitch
