Joe Rokocoko hatrick vs the Cheetahs

Joe Rokocoko hatrick vs the Cheetahs

Prolific try scorer Joe Rokocoko notched up another hatrick on the weekend, this time against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Rokocoko's tries weren't the most spectacular he's ever scored, but as with a lot of the All Black players, he makes the game look really simple by doing the basics perfectly and running great lines.

Apologies in advance for some useless commentary by Warren Brosnihan, who once again proved that he's the king of clich. He did eventually correct himself on the pronunciation of Rokocoko though, who is only one of the most recognised names in the game and yet he couldn't get it right to start with. Embarrassing.

Hatricks should always be respected though, so in future, we'll be featuring some of the best hatrick's here on Rugbydump from games all around the world. Old and new, we feel they deserve to be seen.

I dont get why the stadiums are always empty.. Rugby isn't suppose to be very popular down there ?

You put 20,000 people in a 50,000 seater stadium and it looks empty. There will be 30,000 at the Force/Crusaders game this weekend; meaning that the cumulative attendance to see the Crusaders in their 3 tour games in 110,000. Not bad.

Grizz is correct - the SA stadiums are far larger than elsewhere and don't always achieve capacity, but still have a decent attendance. An important thing to note about this particular stadium though is that it's currently being renovated/upgraded for the 2010 soccer World Cup, so it literally is half empty at this stage, as it's a construction site on one side.

Agreed. Excellent post. It's great to have the bad tackles, odd incidents, points of controversy and Friday Funnies, but they're the entrees and desserts to the main course: great rugby.Thank you RD

Wow, that is some shockingly bad colour commentary. I read it in the pre-video summary and thought 'how bad can it be?' but I was unpleasantly surprised.Great clip, though. Joe Rocs is a try-scoring machine.
