Cheeky Tongan try at the Hong Kong Sevens
Nafe got the ball a few meters out and all he had to do was dot it down, but realising the importance of getting the kick closer to the posts, very important in Sevens as all conversions are taken as dropkicks, he pulled of his bag of tricks.
A little step, a huge dummy and he was away, leaving the hapless Aussie defender on the floor. Outrageous, possibly even unnecessary, but in a tight game, every point counts.
Whichever way you look at it, pure entertainment factor is what makes Sevens great to watch, and this was just another example of that.

HaHa... That was awesome... Had the right frame of mind on though, and to be able to do that... man got skills and balls!! Can't wait for some more highlights...

I was there for that 3 days and watching all the matches. That move was nice,the crowd were amazed

towards the end wen hes drinkin water u hear the commentator go "conversion unsuccessful"!!!!!XD

Yeah, but they'd have an even less chance of getting that conversion had he not brought the ball closer to under the posts.

reminds me of an all blacks try v italy in the 2007 world cup(their first).....didnt go down well with the crowd and new zeland certainly didnt need the extra points!!!

I don't see how this could ever be seen as unnecessary. In fact, I wish more players would do this (in sevens and fifteens).I never understand why players settle for touching it down in the corner when they've got space to move in and make the kick easier.
