Argentina beat Italy in Turin
The end of the Pumas' four-match losing streak at Turin, combined with England's 28-14 loss to Australia in London, gives them a chance to secure their top-four position next weekend by beating Ireland at Dublin in their tour finale.
The top four at the end of the month will lead the seedings for the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand.
Argentina needed a moment of brilliance from flyhalf Juan Martin Hernandez to shrug off Italy and repay a 13-12 defeat to the Azzurri at Cordoba in June.
"Argentina didn't show a lot of skill, but we gave too much space to Hernandez and that try decided the match," Italy captain Sergio Parisse said.
"We are very disappointed," Parisse added.
"We were too indisciplined, and some errors at the end of the first half allowed our opponents to take the lead. We played too much in our half and it's difficult to win from there."
Italy, which also lost to Australia last weekend, rounds off its autumn series against the Pacific Islanders this weekend.

one of those commentaters sounded like kermit the frog. but aside from that looked to be a typically physical game

IM spanish and i dont think those commentators are bad at all!!they arent definitely as intense as others but they have a lot of knowledge and are quite good

Perhaps what's off about the Spanish commentators is the chit-chat style that they have...there's a lot of cross-talking and interrupting. For English commentators, on the other hand, there's usually one who 'leads' and the rest just add bits here and there.

I agree, Italy are looking stronger and stronger by every game. Would be good if they could keep it up till 6-nations.

Commentators suck indeed. I am spanish and I have been suffering em for years now. Manolo Moriche is the coach of a third league team, and has got no fucking idea of modern rugby (his team is about to go to the 4th spanish league), the other commentator is indeed a basketball one. Canal Plus Spain... SHAME ON YOU!

Speaking as an Italian the thing that lets our team down every match is the backs, there isnt enough invention, its always the same, they dont have enough "umph" to get points on the board, saying that they are getting better :P. This is probably due to the fact that Rugby is a second rate sport in a country dominated by football i feel the IRB need to step in and set something up that encourages more rugby, not just Italy but other countries that are in the same boat as Italy.

Pedro(Argentina?)you are right.The best player,Parisse is from argentina,Nieto who destroy roncero in the scrum too.but there is a great player who is from italia:Mirco Bergamasco

Antonini, what would a Rugby world cup do for the profile of rugby in Italia?Personally I think it would be a good chance to grow the game.

Parisse was born in Argentina but his family is 100% Italian and he moved to Italy as a teenager. His father is also an Italian national who played rugby for an Italian club.That being said, it will be nice to see more genuine Italian-born players in the squad in coming years, but at least Italy and Argentina have a strong cultural connection.

speedy: "hernandez is the best player in the world" .. no he isn't, he's a good player but when he puts in some great performances against the top three ranked Test sides (that is, the top three defences) then you can start talking about him in the same sentence as Carter and Giteau. Italy may be getting better but their defence is not one of the strongest in world rugby. The list of hyped-up fly-halves who look ordinary against a fast and tough defence is a long one and O'Gara and Cipriani are just the latest examples..

Robert, I agree 95% with you, the 5 percent left because I think Hernndez, speaking of raw talent, is the best fly-half, but can't compete with Carter and Giteau because he lacks their "international rythm", appart from France Top 14 and the ocassional Pumas' test matches, he doesn't have opportunity to play frequently against the top defences. Also it's common to see Hernndez to drift in and out of the game, it would be probably a cultural thing (I'm from Argentina, and a lot of our sports cracks lacks continuity). It would be interesting to see Pumas entering 3 Nations, considering Hernndez, Carter and Giteau are of the same age they would confront and it would be a real test to JMH's skills
