Munster vs Sale - All the tries
We featured the Paul Warwick try a few days back, a try that was scored shortly after a cracking hit from wing Doug Howlett . That try is included in this package, as well as all the others from the match.
Jerry Flannery in particular finished off one of the better tries of the match. Some great passing with quick hands saw him fly over in the corner.
Munster have already qualified for the knock-out stages of the tournament, but the hooker maintains that their primary goal remains to secure a home quarter final.
"The job isnt done yet. Beating Sale was all about getting some pride back in playing at Thomond Park. We are all very much aware this is only the first step and there is still another pool match to go."
They meet Montauban this weekend at the Stade de Sapiac.

i just wanna know if when wallace went to the floor and the other guy hit the one without a ball, that was not a ruck? so if it was wallace should had dropped the ball because otherwise it is fault, and if it isnt a ruck, that man couldnt hit the one without the ball... am I right? tricky situation

yeah dowling does come in and clear a man out so i'd say you're right.it's a bit of a grey area though,how long he's allowed to hold on to the ball and when does it actually become a ruck and all that.a tricky situation indeed!

I was wondering the same thing about the Wallace try.It looked to me as if Wallace should have set the ball down first, then picked it up and ran...that didn't happen, though, and it seems like it could've been called for a scrum:" A tackled player must immediatelypass the ballorrelease the ballandget up or move away from the ball.""A player who goes to the ground and gathers the ball or with the ball in his possession but who is not tackled must immediately get up on his feet with the ball orpass the ball orrelease the ball andget up or move away from the ball."" If a tackled player does not pass or release the ball immediately and the referee is in doubt as to responsibility for failure to pass or release it, he should at once order a scrummage."It could've been called, but it wasn't, so good try Wallace! Looked like a good game for Munster!

I guess that the questions is whether or not that was a full tackle.I'm under the impression that being taken to ground while the other player has a hold of you is a tackle, but I guess since he broke loose immediately after starting the fall...it wasn't a tackle?I think Mark and the Anon put it best...it was certainly a tricky situation.

I'm 90%+ sure that Wallace should have put the ball down before getting up and picking it back up again before running with it. But good try nonetheless.

yeh wallace try was stupid, tackle made well, tackler releasese to get away from the ruck and he just gets up again! ridiculous.

Wallace try was perfect,its rugby not tag!he wasnt held! simple as2 guys seemed to tackle him,n both seemed to let go?wallace used his strength to get upgreat try, great entertainment!

great performance by Munster. The only teams in Europe capable of beating them right now are Tououse and Clermont (if they somehow miraculously escape their pool). Cardiff might be an outside chance but it seems a bit unlikely. I think it's gonna be Munster's year again.

Munster should really win this year, they are playing excellent and varied rugby. Plus, the Red Army are quite a spectacle to behold. I think that I'd easily pay a few hundreds to see a Crusaders-Munster (or Munster-Crusaders) if only for the atmosphere they could summon.F.

for those who think the wallace try was dodgy or whatever,,im pretty sure it was fine because when you tackle someone by yourself and go to ground with them and let go of them immediately,the ball carrier is perfectly within his rights to get back up and run on,the carrier doesnt need to release the ball immediately...however if he is held he must release the ball immediately,,which is also the case in a ruck

Nice to see referee Nigel Owens lapse into Welsh about 6 1/2 mins into that film! He said to the scrum "Barod?" which is Ready in Welsh.

nice victory..but sale wasn't playing..look at s.chabal, he wasn't tackling, rucking, playing..just looking at what was happenning, nothing more!!on each try, you can see him dreaming and walking around!!that was helping the score..

The lesson of the Wallace try is when you tackle someone, don't let go until the referee tells you to. . . twice!
