Rod Penney 100m try vs Bath
Taking everything into account, their come from behind victory over Bath on the weekend was awe-inspiring. Three tries in the last 15 minutes meant that they snuck victory 20-16, showing fantastic spirit amidst the turmoil at the club.
Despite Bath dominating for practically 70 minutes, Saracens pulled off the impressive win, in front of a delighted 8000 fans at Vicarage Road.
Winger Rod Penney, who was later named Man of The Match, scored twice, with this 100m solo effort from an ill placed Butch James stab through.
The length of the field dash belied his age as he held off would be chasers to dive over for a sensational try.
I was a cracking match, a fantastic comeback win, and an excellent sprint for the try by Penney. With determination like this on the field, we can only hope that the men behind the scenes will sort out the disorder off it.

I think I timed that to a little over 12 seconds, and that with a few changes in direction, the last 30 meters or so in a diagonal, and being about 2 meters past the line when he touched down. Good pace.

Amazing try.. As a Sarries supporter who has heard rumours of Penney being given the boot that try brings a tear to my eye every time I see it..As for the match itself, great effort but don't forget Glen Jackson and Gordon Ross missed the opportunity of 23 points via the boot (not even counted DG attempts)

great pace and endurance!!! i envy that, especially 'cause he's 30+.. i'm 28 and i went from being the fastest on the team to being "not bad for a forward"... in two years time i might addi can't imagine how much slower i would be at his age.. BRAVO!!

IMO it's a disgrace what the new owners are doing. This is an aspect of professionalism we definitely don't need
