The School of Hard Knocks - Episode 3
Episode 3 of the interesting series of the School of Hard Knocks once again takes us into the lives of a group of young Welshmen who have been introduced to rugby as a means of getting out of the doom and gloom of their everyday lives.
In the first two episodes we saw certain characters introduced as the boys learn about the ins and outs of rugby, with Will Greenwood and Scott Quinnell at the helm.
Episode 3 takes us to the Millennium Stadium with the boys, as they get a tour of the awesome ground, and then get to watch the Welsh players train before meeting them and getting autographs.
They're then taken through some gruelling physical training at an army camp and good old Ben makes himself popular once again.

These guys aint gonna change their ways because of rugby!!! Complete waste of time when quinell and greenwood could be training rising young prospects in small villages.

Fuck off BBB. Obviously don't play yourself if you doubt that rugby can make a difference to these guys' lives. They could be playing football and learning to cheat, lie, dive, backchat and swear. Instead they're playing a proper sport. I'll let you whinge, but if they don't brick my windscreen because of this I'll be happy. Good luck to the boyos.

I think what they're doing for these young men is amazing. I believe rugby can change a person's life, so all the power to them.

Rugby has had an enormously positive influuence on my life, and even though it may not help these guys out, its better to watch this than all the other god-awful crap on T.V. these days.

yeah BBB, I would. because these kids normally wouldn't get the chance to advance there life in such a positive way. Rugby teaches discipline, teamwork, com moratory, and many other things. The young unsung talents that you are talking about probably aren't on the streets, which seems to be the whole point of the show. If these kids can get on the pitch and stay rather than on the streets, isn't that best for everyone?

2 years national service would sort out the scum youth of this country.
Teaching them a bit of rugby is simply a waste of money and time, and will never be sustainable, 2 or so months down the line, they just be back in the gutters.

Honestly, it's a great incentive, if it'll ever work I don't know!
But i do think compulsary army service would sort a lot of them out. Make them realise that they're kids in a mans world!

I have to admit I understand what BBB is saying, but I guess they're just trying to lure them away from pikey sports like football which is definitely a good thing.

Millenium stadium the best rugby stadium in the world?! First of all it's not purely a rugby stadium and secondly Twickenham is miles better with 7500 more capacity!

it is well known that twickenam is a souless place with less well educated rugby supporters, whereas, everybody loves the millennium stadium and even the english rugby players think it has a better atmosphere than twicks.

They should ditch this, and use the money to make a show about the Millenium Stadium, the now deceased Lansdowne Road, Stadio Flaminio and other such great rugby stadia teaching Twickenham to be such. ;-)

Twickenham is one of the worst stadiums I've ever been to, no noise, no atmmosphere and if Roy Keane thought the prawn sandwich brigade were taking over football he should check out those terrible toffs and their picnics.
Even the Stadio Flamini is better than Twatenham.

stade france is the best. murrayfield is just an ordinary stadium though the view of the castle from one of the stands is great.

Do you know any the lads taking part, what gives you the right to refer to them as scum. Many were simply unemployed, others had minor offences against them such as smoking cannabis which saw them discharged from the military. Would you call the same people scum when they had just come home from fighting in the name of your country? Do you not think that Scott and Will do train young talented players as well? Rugby does not exclude people just because of their social background.
