Looking back at the November Tests 2008
Each year the best of the Southern Hemisphere heads up North to take on the best on offer. This year, Argentina, Fiji, and Samoa will also be touring, which makes for an interesting few weeks.
It was a Grand Slam winning tour for the All Blacks last year, who beat all before them once again, following on from the success of 2005. This year they'll be looking to go unbeaten too, with a few new players in the line up that will be out to grab the opportunity.
Australia are hoping for a Grand Slam success this year, the first since 1984. They already beat Gloucester, and today go up against the team they lost to in the 2003 World Cup final, England.
The Springboks play three Tests, with France, Italy and Ireland all looking to knock them off their perch. They had a bit of a set back last night though, as their second stringers lost to a pumped up Leicester Tigers side. We'll have highlights of that soon.
This video is quite simply a compilation of some of the more memorable moments from last year. Anyone care to place their predictions for what's going to happen this time around?
We'll have all the best moments from all the biggest matches, right here on RD over the next few weeks. Keep stopping by.

I can't wait for the next set of matches. France vs NZ and Ireland vs Australia. I'm salivating at the thought.
stuart November 07, 2009 8:09 pm

and for the convicts(aus) well who cares!! gunna be some good footy!!
mendes November 07, 2009 8:42 pm

Great video, too. Great seeing all that's happened in a year - wasn't Kearney still playing primarily on the wing this time last year? I've got nothing but respect for Geordan Murphy, so while I hate to see him go, I'm glad Kearney is at fullback now.
And that Wales try was definitely the try of last year's autumn tests.
Right now, I'm just pissed that we in the USA can't get our act together to have more autumn internationals - what, we're playing Uruguay and that's about it? Yeah, that's how we'll get better: a half-dozen test matches a year....

France to beat SA!

Only cos i dont really know where to look, although an interesting thing i clicked on from the telegraph labelled 'Top 20 Rugby Union websites' (i clicked on it, without reading the full title thinking ooo top 20 rugby...) buuuut it has revealed Rugbydump as number 1!!! written 17 sept 2009, so please forgive me if this is common knowledge but i only just found out...
Not that i was massively surprised, but well done RD

Yeh it was awesome when NZ smashed Wales 19-12 wasn't it, i mean Wales team should all retire they obviously cant play for shit after being smashed!!!
Anyway, Well done to wales for almost doing it, shame they didnt make good some oppurtunities, but hey thats the way the game goes.
Nothing taken away from NZ, they got the result and played well. Congrats

Nz Marshall November 08, 2009 8:45 am

Aye, if you dint forget the SH IRB rankengs are 1. SA 2. NZ and 3. AUSSIE
yous guys think you can take us kiwis? u cant!!!!! expect some more beat downs aye
Anonymous November 08, 2009 9:37 am

"WTF, that video showed like 3 SH tries, the rest was just 7 mins of NH trying to break us kiwis line."
The very first piece of match footage shows Lee Byrne cutting through the New Zealand line... BOOM!
THEN the first FOUR tries shown are from SH sides, NZ, RSA, AUS and ARG in that order. In total this video shows 12 SH tries and 8 NH tries, yet again... BOOM! Learn to count.
Are u sure u watched this video properly? They must make contact lenses differently down there.
Anonymous November 08, 2009 10:18 am

can we get another big hits compilation after the AI's please, coz just the england australia game last night was full of them. and no doubt more to come.
Nz Marshall November 08, 2009 10:50 am

get ova urself dude, we dont have time for your immaturity
SH is greater than the NH dont try and argue with me, tsk tsk. all i have to do is haul out those record books aye i mean some teams like ireland have neva even beaten us b4.

Wales got a 3point head start on NZ because of the stand-off at haka time!
No.7 November 08, 2009 4:43 pm

I think it was a replay of the action...you know how in games they sometimes show something from ages ago in a slow part of the game....i could be wrong.
NZ marshall with the NH vs SH crap again...seriously if you want to get this whole the NH is just one big team and the SH is one big team crap, then do i have to mention france? worldcup 2007. 2003 Aus beat NZ and then Eng beat Aus....i mean, yes you have the power but you havent won much that counts....
I mean from where i stand it looks like South africa is the only team that has much claim to fame in the SH
Anonymous November 08, 2009 5:39 pm

Wish the boks were playing all of the North on this end of year tour
Anonymous November 08, 2009 9:55 pm

that's 5 out of 6 for the SH teams...
and to most of the comments above: i really don't get it why any other than saffas or ausies should ask a new zealander "how many world cups have you won again?" - because then i always gotta answer: "just as many as you my english friend" ;)

I assume it was made my a Welsh person...lol.
Ur let off cos everyone feels sorry for you, it must suck to Welsh...rugby is all u have. Must be shit to be Welsh! Weak national identity, England's little bitch, and stuck with a ridiculous accent.
Vic November 09, 2009 2:13 pm

Dont worry, i thought the same then i remembered Pacific Islanders i think!
