Looking back at the November Tests 2008
Each year the best of the Southern Hemisphere heads up North to take on the best on offer. This year, Argentina, Fiji, and Samoa will also be touring, which makes for an interesting few weeks.
It was a Grand Slam winning tour for the All Blacks last year, who beat all before them once again, following on from the success of 2005. This year they'll be looking to go unbeaten too, with a few new players in the line up that will be out to grab the opportunity.
Australia are hoping for a Grand Slam success this year, the first since 1984. They already beat Gloucester, and today go up against the team they lost to in the 2003 World Cup final, England.
The Springboks play three Tests, with France, Italy and Ireland all looking to knock them off their perch. They had a bit of a set back last night though, as their second stringers lost to a pumped up Leicester Tigers side. We'll have highlights of that soon.
This video is quite simply a compilation of some of the more memorable moments from last year. Anyone care to place their predictions for what's going to happen this time around?

All the northern hemisphere teams were so poor last year that this video could have been condensed into just that last try really. What a good try it was though!
I can't wait for the next set of matches. France vs NZ and Ireland vs Australia. I'm salivating at the thought.

im a kiwi my girlfriends welsh,so my loyaltie shifted to wales. was hopeing wales cud do it aganst all blacks but they cudnt. i do think the gap is closeing between north and south. france vs south africa gunna be a good game.if france forwards go on the rampage and there backs get some god ball,south africa gunna be in for a fight. and i woundnt put it past the frenchies stickn it too the ABs.ireland got a strong team too and be looking at gettn some pay back aganst SA,but SA are the best in world and looking at proveing that,they playing some good footy at moment except aganst tigers.england missing too many players,but with jonny back they be looking at playing 10man rugby.

Great video, too. Great seeing all that's happened in a year - wasn't Kearney still playing primarily on the wing this time last year? I've got nothing but respect for Geordan Murphy, so while I hate to see him go, I'm glad Kearney is at fullback now.
And that Wales try was definitely the try of last year's autumn tests.
Right now, I'm just pissed that we in the USA can't get our act together to have more autumn internationals - what, we're playing Uruguay and that's about it? Yeah, that's how we'll get better: a half-dozen test matches a year....

Is there anything that is legitimate online that shows the positions of rugby teams round the world? (i mean like where they stand...?)
Only cos i dont really know where to look, although an interesting thing i clicked on from the telegraph labelled 'Top 20 Rugby Union websites' (i clicked on it, without reading the full title thinking ooo top 20 rugby...) buuuut it has revealed Rugbydump as number 1!!! written 17 sept 2009, so please forgive me if this is common knowledge but i only just found out...

Yeh it was awesome when NZ smashed Wales 19-12 wasn't it, i mean Wales team should all retire they obviously cant play for shit after being smashed!!!
Anyway, Well done to wales for almost doing it, shame they didnt make good some oppurtunities, but hey thats the way the game goes.

No. 7 the IRB website has the international rankings, that's irb.com. ercrugby.com has the heineken cup rankings in it somewhere too. I don't know about the super 14 or anything, if they even have rankings.

Oh irish memories of last year against NZ aren't good. Very embarrassing. Should be a lot closer this year ! Hopefully beat Australia and give SA a run for their money !

The very first piece of match footage shows Lee Byrne cutting through the New Zealand line... BOOM!
THEN the first FOUR tries shown are from SH sides, NZ, RSA, AUS and ARG in that order. In total this video shows 12 SH tries and 8 NH tries, yet again... BOOM! Learn to count.

We were class this year but Ireland havent played together since the Wales GS decider so we could be rusty.Still think we will beat the Aussies(they wernt very convincing against England) but im not too confident of beating SA.

I think it was a replay of the action...you know how in games they sometimes show something from ages ago in a slow part of the game....i could be wrong.

I follow rugby al over the world including club games and anyone who is doing the same will know that there is about 3 teams back in SA that can easily beat the upcoming boks that played against Leicster, most of the upcoming boks wil not play a test match before 2012 and the rest will never play again, and the only way the Springbok team will lose is if they play against themselves. No denying France and Ireland are good and it will be tough but not one of them can beat the All Blacks 3 times in a row home and away and the way the Boks played this season it is unlikely for them to loose!

And this coming from a french fan ( although I would like us to beat you guys on Fri, I just don't see that happening - SA rugby is just to strong at this time, forget game again tigers and the one in brisbane, this bok side is really really great!
