England Saxons bounce back to beat Ireland A
Shane Geraghty did his bit to make England boss Martin Johnson pencil him in as having what it takes to be part of the senior side over the next few months. He scored 12 points, including a try, and looks back to his best.
"I think my tackling has improved and my goal kicking got better as we went along.
"But it wasn't about making points for the England management - it was more about playing better than I did for Northampton against Munster last week," said Geraghty.
The more experienced Irish side would have hoped to continued their good run of form, but were denied by an England side that attacked well, then defended solidly when required to.
"As a team we have to be happy to win given their experience and the hiding we took last June, Geraghty added.
"This is a huge turnaround for us - especially considering Ireland added Peter Stringer and Paddy Wallace to their squad. Mentally we had unfinished business from the summer when we were outmuscled."
Both tries were classily done, with Geraghty scoring the one and David Strettle finishing after a nicely timed pass by Ben Youngs. For Ireland A it was Chris Henry who got them back in the match after a nice piece of play by Isaac Boss.

Also i think Kato is worth a shout as a man to watch, seems to be fairly good for Saries and seemed to be fiarly strong in the match. Better option for England?

Chris Henry at long last... ;-)
Youngs timing in the 1st try is awesome.

And by the way, how bad were both of these teams? Neither of them could do anything properly.

I much prefer the Super 14 and will watch it over a six nations game anyday. Even over France vs Ireland.

"is this the return to Glory England have been waiting for. Wilko was intrumental as he supported from the sidelines and certainly we can see england already looking to win yet another world cup"
or something along those lines no doubt

To tell the truth, I'm happy (how could it be otherwise?) because i saw Chris Henry running with the ball but honestly I'm not impressed at all since even I could score that try!
No doubt he can do better, I'm still patiently waiting for it to happen. And he better be good because my expectancies are pretty high.

I know some have of you have commented before on the Boks hot physio (?), so did you see the Ospreys chick who was blamed for the 16th man.
Lets just say,
Out of 10. . . . . I'd give her 1. And a sexy Welsh accent to boot.
