Six Nations 2010 Highlights Montage
As it got off to a less than spectacular start, this years Championship later hit it's stride as we saw a handful of great matches and one or two spectacular upsets. At times it was edge of your seat stuff, no more so than when Wales scored in the dying seconds to upset Scotland.
The theme of the tournament though was if Ireland, reigning champions from last year, could do enough to retain their title as bookies favourites France looked to be the stronger side.
In the end, the predictions were correct as France beat all before them and went on to lift the trophy in Paris, having won the tournament before their final game even kicked off.
So here's your chance to look back on what was an entertaining, and at times dramatic, few weeks of Six Nations rugby. Please let us know your thoughts on the video.
Rugbydump covered every match from the tournament within days of them being played. If you'd like to watch specific match highlights, click on the sidebar banner or simply follow this link for the Six Nations 2010 page .

MOTHERF**A
_
...on a side note, did anyone else prefer englands centenery shirts much more than their normal ones?
i really like them, they just had the whole oldschool look......(im aware that was the point) but i mean something about them, they just looked so much more classy than the usual ones!
JM March 29, 2010 8:44 am

I mean the shirts......not england....they were same old same old in new shirts....

The only good thing about England was the shirts. God
Ireland's backs where good to watch. Very professional.
France was amazing - great team, love the workrate of the backrow and a taste of the old french flair.
Italy are using players from all over the world.
Scotland deserved more wins.
My 6 nations view in a nutshell. (no offence intended)
Cheers,

Some may say that it would distrupt the flow of the game - but wouldn't it be worth it? Players would have to learn to be more careful.
Most importantly though - great video! And great RBS 6 nations! (although Wales vs. Scotland might just of been one of the most depressing moments of my life - especially watching it with a welshman!)

Love all rugby, wherever in the world it's played.
Ireland for WC 2011 March 29, 2010 12:43 pm

have to say though, geordan murphy's tackle attempt on beattie was pathetic.bring back kearney asap.this was a big setback for irish rugby,it will be interesting to see how they come through it.
not sure about my username after this year!!
Irealnd for WC2015? March 29, 2010 12:49 pm

True

'cheers'
Lovely montage, well done France, although i agree to an extent Scotland were very unlucky, Jonny Beatie was excellent..
Flooz March 29, 2010 2:06 pm

i think it's a guetteba montage, who is french, not welsh ;)
This 6 nations victory will help France to build for the rwc.it's quite incredibble they won without heymans, medard, mermoz, david, barcella, millo-chluski, dupuy or picamoles...
Scotland are on the good way with beattie, barclay, evans and others. England will do something if they change their game culture.

That being said, its harsh to slate a team for advantages that they may gain....i mean, if you win a game by a try from a forward pass you're hardly likely to say 'ah no ref, we realise its forward give them the game..'
And how many times has a referee made a forward pass call in a game you play where you'd swear the referee has to be blind....until a member of the crowd afterwards assures you it actually was forward....accidents happen, im not so sure its all intentional fouls....
I think the play of the tournament has to be the last clip, as much as it pains me, i really think it is......in the end it didnt mean an awful lot (in terms of wales no where near winning the tournament) but it was amazing (but more painful) to see a team pull it off like that :-/
sigh....Scotland grand slam champions 2011??? :( i hope so...lol
David March 29, 2010 4:11 pm

Wales did try to play total rugby, very exciting to watch but they tried to play it a little too much, and it cost them tbh.
Better than watching england! hahaha.. tho they were much improved vs France i have to say.
Ireland for WC2009 i March 29, 2010 4:11 pm

I don't know what it'll take to make them look convincing, but playing Foden seemed to be a good start.

FrankyH March 29, 2010 5:48 pm

And btw.. if a side is able to play like the All Blacks, it's probably a pretty decent team to be basing your play on eh? Calling a team cheats (correct spelling, btw) is a bit uncalled for imo.
louis March 29, 2010 6:18 pm

In the video it seems irish or welsh win.
Not a single sec of the dying moment of the last game vs england, just a few of the fantastic game against ireland...
Still a great video but not representing the real VI NATIONS...
remy March 29, 2010 6:40 pm

You can't have it all in there...I mean, the video was already over 8 minutes.
I'm just glad there's someone out there who likes putting these sort of highlights videos together.
mise March 29, 2010 8:57 pm

Also a complete lack of the broader aspects of the game
still, fair play to him for putting it together, it comes across as being as professional as sth put together by a TV station for it own shows. (If that's a complement....)
kiwelsh March 30, 2010 6:00 am

The welsh team is an affront to rugby, with their kiwi tactics (no offence intended)
T. said...
Ok maybe I jumped the gun a bit their, but come on they are cheets. Especialy this 6 nations just like Kiwis.
No offence taken T. .. at first I just put it down to sheer ignorance of rugby, but because you seem to be so fixated on this stupid idea I'll have to agree with David that you are truly a moron.
Conor March 30, 2010 11:04 am

Oh and @Ireland for WC2009 if there were one we've been telling the English for YEARS that Delon Armitage is shite but noone listened insted they played him at center to try lure McGeechan into choosing him for the Lions squad, but no hes shocking! The first bit of cop on ive seen from Martin Johnson as manager was droping Wilko and Armitage.
Conor March 30, 2010 11:13 am

Zed's dead baby...Ze March 30, 2010 11:54 am

I'd agree there are players who are starting to look a bit tired...i mean even BOD is starting to get closed down far quicker because people know he is such a risk, and his shiney finish is becoming a little tarnished...(as it happens to any player ever...)
but i suppose BOD still wins matches....moments of flair and genius appear from no where from that man, and hey presto a try.....
i think d'arcy can produce magic still, although this 6N has proved not so good for him....
i suppose its a big case of who is going to step in.......keith earls you mentioned has seemed to have grown up a little....so i suppose he is one, as for hayes replacement.....im not sure....anyone know?..
i guess its the same old thing, hayes is for want of a better word, a talisman in the dark arts as such...i mean, he is the leader for the front, as was keith wood when it was his time....
great montage....i think the final welsh try was the try of the tournament.... not because it was pretty or anything, but because it showed a team never giving up.....shame it was against the scots though :( why couldnt it have been france or something :'(

Anonymous March 30, 2010 1:39 pm

It was a small bit forward, but maybe if Lamont hadn't pushed halfpenny to the ground, he would have been able to get back into position faster.
Anyway. Poor enough 6N IMO. Refs and the new rules had a big part to play in that.
Well done France, and well done Scotland for a good performance.
Anonymous March 30, 2010 4:55 pm

THEY TOOK OURR JEEERRRRRRRBS!!!
kiwelsh March 31, 2010 8:09 am

Welsh by any chance?
Nope, but I knew that someone would bite, so I'll reel it in. Try Kiwi and that'll be another guess. The point is that T's comment is mindless and his spelling atrocious .. just asking for it really.
