Mouritz Botha big hit on Jordan Turner-Hall

Mouritz Botha big hit on Jordan Turner-Hall

Saracens returned to Wembley Stadium this past weekend as they hosted Harlequins in the Guinness Premiership at the world famous venue. This short clip was much requested and is of the tackle of the match, from Sarries lock Mouritz Botha.

The day out at Wembley was more than about just the rugby, it was an event as prematch entertainment included a tightrope walker circling the stadium, a performance from West End show War Horse, and Right Said Fred amusing the crowd.

For Saracens, it was the fourth time that theyve used Wembley as a venue, and with a crowd of over 47 000 turning up on the day, theres no doubt that it was once again a success.

Their goal was to finish in the top four and with this being their last home game, it was vital to assert their dominance over Harlequins.

"I've got some good memories from our other matches at Wembley," said lock Botha.

"It's been a really successful venue for us and I think everyone gets inspired to raise their performance when they play in front of a big crowd in such an iconic venue. You just get a special feeling every time you run out there."

While it was Schalk Brits and Andy Saull who dazzled the crowd, second rower Botha made the biggest hit of the day as he smashed Quins centre Jordan Turner-Hall later in the match. Turner-Hall took some time to get up, feeling the full affects of what was a superb hit.

Saracens won the match 37-18. Highlights of the match will follow soon, but dont forget you can watch all the Guinness Premiership highlights on the Omnisport player on the sidebar here.

Lovely hit, lovely one handed pick up, and not a bad move from Jordan...

....i am ofcourse referring to the knee inbetween the legs...(although not hard enough..)

i have found, when either being lifted off the ground during a tackle, or lifting someone off the ground during a tackle that a knee to the spuds is normally a good effort....

when being tackled, the knee to the spuds says 'bet you wish you hadnt done that...'

and when tackling, getting kneed in the spuds says 'clever tw*t, i shouldnt have done that!!'

Interesting tactics there Sam. I'm glad someone noticed the one handed pickup by Mike Brown though, I meant to mention it in the write-up. Great skill under pressure.

Sam, if you get hit hard and legally then what right do you have to knee someone in the balls? that makes you a cheat, also its pretty cowardly.

"i have found, when either being lifted off the ground during a tackle"
Starting that sentence with "i have found" sounds like you get smashed a lot and instead of trying to improve as a rugby player to avoid being continuously physically dominated you decide to cheat and use underhand tactics....you are a knob
