Quick fire questions with Jonny Wilkinson
Wilkinson was in doubt for the tour after he picked up the injury while making a jinking run in Marseilles, sparking fears that he would miss the important tour down under.
A scan revealed that he had not suffered what was thought to be a broken rib, but in fact only has a bruised back so will make the tour to Australia and New Zealand. He has been ruled out of contact for two weeks though, so will miss Englands game this weekend, against the Barbarians, as well as their fixture against the Australian Barbarians.
"Jonny Wilkinson has been reviewed by his club medical team and an x-ray has shown there is no break to his rib but there is soft tissue damage," the England Rugby Football Union stated.
"He will meet up with the England squad on Saturday as scheduled after receiving further treatment from his club. He will then be assessed and reviewed by the England medical team before agreeing a course of treatment and rehabilitation."
Captain Lewis Moody said: "Jonny is one of those guys who plays through most injuries and knocks and battles on."
Wilkinson, who is a Gillette Ambassador, took time out to answer these amusing quick fire questions recently. He reveals his cooking secrets, would like Macaulay Culkin to play him in a movie, and confesses to a love of American Football.

Top bloke anyway and great player, but it's about time he steps aside and let Geraghty and Ciprianni wear the no. 10.
BTW, is anybody else sick of Clermont v Perpignan matches? they play a zillion times a year.

such a funny guy that doesnt play rugby for the fat pay check.
selfish guy only cares about himself hence why he didnt say goodbye to the fans that loved him for years at newcastle think the word coward would be a little harsh

Get real dude ^^^
Yes it is true that he does not have much of a sence of humour, but you might be surprised to know that it is hard to be funny in front of the camera when you are probably exausted from all the physical work.
I do not support England but i still show respect for players that have been through as much as he has.

He may not be the most mouthy guy ever, as some of you eluded to, but I'd rather have a player like that than one like Cipriani or Henson who finds himself in the tabloids for the wrong reasons. Considering the pressure and media attention over the years, Jonny has shown his class throughout.
On the field, he's also played a huge role in Toulon's resurgence, so I don't think that should be underestimated.

Don't spaek about Cipriani if you don't know the facts. All that tabloid - image was created by the media and in fact Cips has an incredible work etic and will come back from Melbourne a crack of a player, to retain the english 10 form nay years.
Not the same can be said about Henson sadly

As for Newcastle, the guy gave away the best years of his career to a team that couldn't win anything, when Toby Flood and Matthew Tait left what was there left? For a guy who was at one time the best rugby player in the world to come away with little from a domestic career isn't on, he had to move.

It's been proven with film stars etc - if you don't want to be paparazzi-fied, you don't have to be. With a few sensible choices, you can remain free of that, which imo, Wilkinson has done.
I still think he's a better player than Cipriani anyway. Unfortunately, in some ways. Cirpriani has such huge potential but hasn't delivered fully, yet. Hopefully he will in time.
