The Rugby Club Plays of the Week - Using your head, with Bakkies
There was one guy who clearly didnt use his head last weekend. Or did he? It depends what youre referring to of course, so the guys at Fox Sports have put together this edition of Plays of the Week that shows us all about using your head.
The Springboks lost to the All Blacks in Auckland last week in a match that saw the Tri Nations champs being totally outmuscled, outplayed, and of course, outthought.
As we know, Bakkies Botha used his head early on as he nutted Jimmy Cowan off the ball. Hes picked up the nine week suspension for his sins, leaving opposite number Brad Thorn feeling a little lonely.
"I'll miss Bakkies," Thorn said. "It's funny to see yourself running around in a green jersey. It's like looking in the mirror all the time," added the man who looks, plays, and thinks like Bakkies.
On the vuvuzela front, many of you will be pleased to see that its been banned at most rugby grounds around the world, including Soccer City for the test between the Boks and All Blacks in August. Thats using your head, SARU.

Well SA supporters just ask for it, with their cockiness, no other nation's fans are like that. Change your attitude and we'll all get along just fine.

Well, first of all, it's not "racism", second anonymous. But I agree with the first anon that who's to say some drunk asshat kiwis didn't start it? Either way, you're still right in saying leave that shit at soccer games.
So can't we all just get along? :)
(And third anonymous, there are fans like that in all nations, regardless of sport. As such, there are also plenty of good SA fans out there as well.)

My comment still applies however, it's still not wise of the south african's to start a fight in a crowd full of kiwis and vice versa.
And I don't think its Ill-thought anti-s.a. racism. Based on my experiences of interacting with rugby fans globally. The only ones i've come accross consistently arrogant and with a football style fan mentality are bokkies.
But then again, maybe it's just my experiences?

The saffers are very senisitive, they put up a load of bad 70's Irish jokes and argued whether football or rugby is their biggest sport. All I said was, that we all know rape is the biggest sport in South Africa and I got banned?
