Julien Arias great individual try for Stade Francais
Under new boss Michael Cheika the Paris based side are looking good so far, even if it is only two weeks into the new campaign. Their disappointing form in recent times led to the sacking of Ewen Mackenzie, and later Jaques Delmas and Didier Faugeron.
Cheika arrives with huge expectation, and hell have his hands full in the quest to satisfy club president Max Guazzini. He proved himself at Leinster, so whether he can do the same in Paris will be fascinating to watch.
La Rochelle threatened early in the this game, but Stade ran out convincing winners in the end after tries by centre Mathieu Bastareaud, Ollie Phillips, Dimitri Szarzewski, Hugo Southwell and then this great effort from Julien Arias.
Theyve now made it two from two and scored over 40 points for the second week running. Whether they can maintain that form is another matter altogether, but with a backline littered with talent, they will be an exciting side to watch this year.

Not true, he was injured last year when the 7's tour was running, he also sat out a lot of the Heineken cup games at the same time due to the same injury.

Like most 7's players, they don't shine on the 15's stage as they don't get the space to run.
Great player at club level all the same.

Maybe because of a clubber reputation..
arias is a bit irregular but full of skills. i recall few tries like taht against toulouse, biarritz or cardiff blues

I think he got called 2 or 3 times w/out actually playing.
However, he's been dealing with injuries recently and his team didn't so well last year... Irregular is the term + his defense skills are not always the best but a good creative player for sure.
