Clermont score sensational team try after the hooter
The reigning champs had lost their last two games so were in a need of a big one, and they delivered by scoring three tries in the second half, including this one in the 82nd minute that went through the hands of virtually their entire team.
Their first try came while Stade captain Sergio Parisse was in the bin for a dangerous tackle, and upon his return, they scored their second. Vincent Debaty then stayed in support to get on the end of a flowing movement after the hooter.
The bonus win at the Stade Marcel Michelin means that Clermont have bounced back nicely after their defeats and now move up three places, to 5th on the table.
It was an action packed weekend of rugby so while theres a few obvious clips that will be posted soon, if theres anything else you spotted that you think should be featured here on RD please get in touch via the contact page or post a request on the forum .

It's great to see a French team try to throw the ball around and offload like a Scottish team... :)
Yep I have to agree on this one....unfortunatelly. Just a pity Scottish team hardly win any games ;-)
Top 14 is finally raising up its level with Toulouse and Clermont (hope this is not a one off) and Biarritz. Joining the positive rugby started suceesfully by Montpellier and unsuccessfully by La Rochelle.
Sounds like the first Hcup games brought some teams one level up.
Hope this will continue...so we can see games as the 2010 Semi-Final Toulon/Clermont.
As for the try: superbe !!!

I'm a Paris fan but he should seriously lose some weight and gain some speed. He's terrific ball in hand but useless in defense!
Bouge toi le cul basta!

Lovely try. I love that it's a prop on the end of it!

In the English speaking world, this is known as a 'joke'. We use coded signs to show that we are joking, like this one...
:)

Also, the oflloading from everybody was brilliant. Not to mention the confidence to take the tackle and go to ground. This is some of the most composed rugby i've seen all season.
Audacious and a delight to watch.

I say that not to take away from a wonderful try, but just cause I don't think it should be considered a 'best try ever' because of those circumstances.

Nigel, you're not funny. Give it a rest :)
Thanks for the smiley Franky but I'm not sure that I've got my point across yet and I'm studying the Currie Cup highlights really closely. I can see some cheating and niggling and I'm not sure who it is, but I've got my suspicions.

Mccaw does niggle (a nice way of saying he makes a prick of himself).
It;'s part of his game, an important part for a no7. He gets under toher player's skin.
But you have to get precious about it.

good to see that he can still recognise and appreciate good rugby after his team has been comprehensively beaten.
