Best tries of the Top 14 - Round 24
These compilations, if you're unfamiliar with them, are put together by Canal+ and are usually shown on the weekend of the following week. So in this case, this was only released this past weekend, but features the previous round of action. Got it? Good.
It's the round that saw Toulon beat Toulouse, with two tries scored by former England winger Paul Sackey. Both were featured here on the site, but you can see them make an appearance once again, with surprising positions at numbers ten and one respectively. You can be the judge of which should have been placed where though.
We also picked out Sebastien Chabal's tearaway effort against Perpignan and featured that, and that try comes in at number two on this list. There's plenty more to enjoy though, and it's actually a really enjoyable round of tries with some top quality skills on show. Enjoy.
It's not always possible to cover every tournament everywhere, so if you're after Aviva Premiership highlights and are wondering why there's a lack thereof, please take a look at the Eplayer on the sidebar, which has short recaps of every match .

Any try where you beat five defenders in such confined space is awesome.

Interesting to see how English players improve in France, anyone have any idea's as to why? Better coaching or better playing conditions?
Agree with Von, great stuff from Sackey.

super rugby is so much superior'
Wow thats for stopping by and offering such a great clever little comment.
Now if you cannot appreciate RUGBY then kindly f*ck off and visit a SH focussed rugby website, rather than a RUGBY FOCUSSED rugby website...
Thanks Very much,

Vive la France!
Why do people keep comparing Super Rugby (an international tournament) to the Top 14/Aviva Premiership, when they're national tournaments?

Am a fan of both myself.

It is all about the wine mate.....all of it..... Why nobody explained that to Henson....if you go to a French pub drinking beer, you are ending up in a mass brawl with your teamates (that should say enough about French beer is not it?)....while if you head for a wine producer, you are just getting drunk and improve your rugby skills....simple no...
As for the post, I agree Sackey individual try is a nice one but I do prefer the collective one, so the first try of Sackey and especially the one of Montpellier (N#4).....

S15 defence is rubbish
S15 is superior in every way
are about equally stupid and are best ignored.

Ok maybe not the wine exactly, but the way of life in France..
I mean look at JW he seems to be ENJOYING himself...
Much in someways like watching BOD... BOD knows his time on the field now is precious as its heading to the end and he is enjoying being on the pitch... much like a lot of English players in France feel.. I watch an English club match and there doesnt seem to be much of an 'enjoyment' feel amongst the teams, more like a 'oh shit boys this is gonna be hard, we'll have to work hard'
French rugby is dare i say it? more C'est la vie... a bit of 'we'll see how it goes' kinda rugby out there, which i think puts less pressure on the players who inevitably perform better..
