Chris Robshaw named Aviva Premiership Player of the Month for November

Harlequins Chris Robshaw has been named as November's Aviva Premiership Player of the Month. He is widely tipped to be the next captain of England after many stand out performances, and great leadership ability and potential.

"Aviva have given me £500 to donate to the charity of my choice – and I have selected The Prostate Cancer Charity because of the great work that they do. A number of the Quins players were showcasing some rather dodgy facial hair for Movember and this donation will add to the money the team has already raised," he said after receiving the award.

Do you think Robshaw has what it takes to lead England now, or in the coming years?

1 cap for England? Give him a chance to prove himself internationally first.

Yes he has what it takes to be captain but I think the flank spots for the 6N will be taken by Tom Croft and Tom Wood so unless he is to play at Number 8 he will be on the bench.

It is a little frustrating that a lot of our best players are all focused around the number 6 shirt.

Malcolm - not so sure Croft is guaranteed a place. His form has not been what it was recently. He'll definitely be in the squad, but it's a new coaching staff, and the best two English flankers at the moment are Wood and Robshaw, both of whom were identified by other English players at the pre-RWC England camp as 'playing out of their skin.'

I agree as flankers there is little to choose between Croft and Robshaw - in fact Robshaw might edge it. But Croft's lineout ability always seems to see him get the nod.

Bye bye Waldrom, Thompson, Shaw (sad but time to make way), Hape (not sad at all!), Easter, Tindall, Banahan, Deacon, Cueto, Wilkinson (sad...), Mears, Moody, Botha.

Just saying haha nice times lie ahead for England!

Agree that he must prove himself as an international before being annointed captain. That bein said there's room for him with croft and wood, like the dallagio, back, hill era only one true positional player (back at 7) but a great combo of skills.

I don't quite see what all the hype is about. The guy is good I'll give you that. But why does everything in England seem to be so hot and cold... i.e if its not right today throw it away and never look in again...

Suffice to say, "Who is this guy?"

I've never heard of him in the international scene....Yet he is being tipped for Captain... for England?!?!?!

There is never any consistency...Captaincy never flits between 1-3 players like in many other international teams etc... I'm not saying there are many others in the England squads that stand out head and shoulders above others but there are players who have played a little more international scenes that this guy....

I dunno, all the best to the bloke but it seems like typical England fashion to be bigging a player up before he has actually got onto the stand only for him to fail...
