Exclusive interview with Richie McCaw, featuring Don't Drop The Egg

World Cup Winning All Black captain Richie McCaw was in London last week for an adidas promotion at Harrods, so we sent a crew along, including the boys from the brilliant Don't Drop the Egg, to have a catch-up chat with him.
If you're unfamiliar with the Don't Drop the Egg guys, make sure you find some time to watch their excellent web mockumentary that takes you behind the scenes at the wonderful Clapham Falcons rugby club. When presented with the chance to have a chat with captain tackles McCaw, they were the obvious candidates.
Unfortunately Blazeby, 6 sometimes 7, was ill at the time but Archie and Freddie popped along for a fantastic ten minute long interview with the man who is destined for a knighthood. In fact a few days later speculation was rife that he would be included in the New Year's Honours list.
Prime Minister John Key revealed that after a chat with McCaw it was clear that the 30 year old World Cup Winner isn't interested in becoming a Sir just yet. He expressed the same thing to Archie and Freddie, saying that when he's a bit older perhaps the time will be right.
If anyone has Richie's number, please let Archie know as there appears to have been a mix up.
Thanks to Archie, Freddie, and Fraser Davidson for the great work, an of course to our friends at adidas for the opportunity, and the wonderful gift for Blazeby. You can view Don't Drop the Egg in the related posts below, or on their official channel on youtube.

Cool to see some really interesting and original questions. The one about the worst part of winning the RWC really makes you think. As a professional, they just have to find the right motivation at all times, and that can be tough. Like him or nor, McCaw is one of the most influential and best players of the modern era (for me, with carter, the 2 best players ever), and this is a great interview
