Try Savers & Rib Breakers 12 - Rugby World Cup 2011 Edition
It's been a long wait but today we're back with the next in our exclusive Try Savers & Rib Breakers series, Try Savers & Rib Breakers 12: RWC 2011 edition. We've also got a unique giveaway for you today, so enter now, and enjoy the video.
As we all now know, the All Blacks lifted the trophy in New Zealand a few months back, winning at home after another wonderful tournament that included amongst other things, some great tackles.
Following on from the rugby hits series that started way back in 2006, Try Savers & Rib Breakers 12 is jam-packed with the biggest hits and best try savers seen at the 2011 tournament. While it may include a few hits that could be on the wrong side of the law, it's sure to get the adrenalin pumping.
All 11 previous TSRB's have been linked to in the Related Posts below the video, so have a browse through those if you haven't seen them before, and make sure you enter our competition, where one lucky winner will win the boots of a 2011 Rugby World Cup captain.
WIN USA Eagles Captain Todd Clever's RWC 2011 Boots
With this edition of Try Savers & Rib Breakers we're giving away an awesome piece of rugby memorabilia, coming from a player that actually features in TSRB12! Todd Clever has represented the USA Eagles in two World Cups, was a star on the IRB World Series Sevens circuit, has played Super Rugby, and recently won trophies in Japan with Suntory Sungoliath.
Today you can enter to win the the pair of boots he wore at the World Cup, and more specifically, when he made that big tackle against Ireland, as seen a minute into the video. They're Adidas Predators and marked with Todd and RWC2011.
Entering is easy, and we've given you 3 different ways of doing so:
1) Share the TSRB12 Facebook update with your friends, and include the description:

good vid. gotta say i was suprised the head clash between kleeberger and woodcock didn't make the cut! hahah i know it's not ideal, but usually there are things like that in these videos.

So glad this is back! The TSRB series is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best series of vids on the internet.
Particularly enjoyed some of the Try Savers in that compilation, I love that never say die attitude to hold a man up over the line.

its here! It's finally here, but now I have to wait all over again for the next TSRB! Great tackles, try savers and just overall intensity throughout the clip. Loved seeing the camaraderie at the end between players and the mutual respect that players should have towards one another. Keep up the great work RUGBYDUMP!

Yeah, I am really surprised that Bradley Davies' tip tackle from the Wales Ireland Six Nations game didn't make it into the RWC TS & RB video.........

Love that they put Warburtons tackle that ended up in him being sent off in the semis against france. That game may have had a different outcome had he not been red carded and Wales had to play almost ther entire match down one.

Sure, the result would be France winning by more than 1 point.
Welsh players said after the match that being 14 "tightened" them together and gave them more motivation.
On the other hand, French players said they were so scared losing to a 14 men's team they froze to death and so were unable to attack.

So what size are those boots then? Studs or mouldies cause I need a new pair for the summer. I still claim the tackle by James O'Connor on Tommy Bowe after the intercept wasn't really a tackle, they were both so tired they just fell into each other.

dont get me wrong I thought his was a great video, I just thought that it would be great to idea to have a video for the world cup and another video for the clubs, sixnations, trinations, and other games.

Shame that the amateur Argentinian hit that was on RD a while back wasn't in this, one of the best hits I have ever seen in any form or level of rugby!

Great news that TS&RB is back, has been missing for far to long. Looking forward to a few more after what has been a few good seasons (Aviva, Super14 & Super 15), plenty for the picking!!!

It's a RWC 2011 video.. I'm sure he'll feature in TSRB13, although charging through someone isn't technically a Try Saver or Rib Breaker. We'll make a plan though

Personal fave is James O'Connors tackle on Tommy Bowe. Was lucky enough to be at that game and it looked like Bowe must have eased up to get caught up but O'Connor is just pure gas! Unreal tackle. And this is speaking as an irishman!

Brilliant video, I love the series, so glad there is another video added to it.
One tackle which got my attention was 0:22 Wales v Ireland... I believe that is Warburton tackling ROG... I really wonder how that tackle would have turned out if another Welsh player hadn't taken ROG top half... red card worthy perhaps?? (if's and but's I know!!)
The ending was a nice touch too!

If I read correctly you can enter the comp as many times as possible? So in theory if I was to spam this comment section with continuous messages on each individual tackle in the video I'd have a better chance of winning?!?!? Seems a little odd...

Who wants Todd Clever’s cleats? Todd Clever sucks, granted he can kick my ass but it’s obvious this clydesdale on a man doesn’t understand the game, I doubt he ever played the video game. No thanks keep that horse’s cleats, besides I got too many as it is... Just let it be known I wouldn’t be able to survive surrounded by rugby illiterates without this site, it’s instrumental in my game and my sanity. Keep up the smashing effort, cheers! Stroudsburg PA

dose anyone else think that paul williams being sent off for that "high tackle" was a bit harsh i mean yea i know that from the reffs angle it was probaly a tab sketchy looking but it is pretty clear from the touch judges points of view that it was legal
