This week's Plays of the Week from the Rugby Club features the best and worst from the June Tests last weekend, as well as a short tribute to the retiring Australian legend, Stirling Mortlock.

I miss the days where RD used to post their own snippets from matches, Midweek Madness, etc. Now it's just highlights and Plays of the Week. Nothing unique. This place isn't what it used to be I'm sorry to say.

Johndoe, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately for every one comment like yours, there would be 10 complaining about a lack of Test highlights if they weren't shown. We're in international season so site visitors want to see what happened in matches, and have access to the highlights on demand.
If it were up to me, only shorter, unique clips and content would be posted. That's not sustainable though and would result in less regular posting, and a lot of disgruntled site visitors, which wouldn't keep the site alive.
It's not a perfect science, and with millions of site hits monthly, pleasing everyone is impossible. We'll always do our best to attempt to anyway, so hang in there.

If it isn't sustainable, then fair enough but it was sustained for quite some time prior to this.
People do want to see highlights but that's not what this site originally supplied and now that the site does primarily highlights, it is no longer unique.
I've seen similar comments like mine posted before. I can't say I've ever seen one asking for highlights when they were not provided with such frequency and or now.

With respect, you're not privy to all email and social media forms of communication.
What I will say is that this is not, and never has been, purely a highlights website. The flow of things changes from time to time depending on what is happening, but the things you speak of, they're very much still the main focus. In fact there are very few incidents in world rugby that have been missed out on in over six years of existence.
There are obviously costs involved with keeping the site alive and with that comes certain sacrifices and commitments, so we'll never claim to be perfect.

You're right johndoe, I remember the days where there would be one week, sometimes two weeks between posts, and now there is usually a post a day. How about you edit a weekly video together and upload it to youtube so all can admire your work. Ungrateful shit head. If you don't like whats on this website then go somewhere else spoiled child.

You mean the days where there were videos which you couldn't get on other sites or on youtube? I remember those... I do go somewhere else. Just drop by once in a while to check for new, unique content.

It's a bit hypercritical to call me a spoiled child yet you can't even give a response without resorting to unnecessary name calling, swearing and sarcasm. RD i will always love you, but ive never been a big fan of plays of the week, and this epsiode has to be a prime example. coopers yellow card? that was worth highlighting? boring but i guess u gotta get your aussie content. that mortlock montage was shit. he was a great player, how about showing the whole rwc intercept try rather than several boring dives. sorry campy 60's music and clever comments don't do it for me, show me the rugby!
