great as usual.
Is it just the perspective, or is there a blatant forward pass in the reds' try?

Don't worry, it was a blatant forward pass indeed (two of them actually).

Not forward. The rules have nothing to do with where the ball ends up but the act of throwing the ball backwards. The ball will always float forward at the same rate of speed as the player who passes it is running. Because the passes were made on the run, they all floated forward slightly, despite being thrown backwards. This is due to physics and is unavoidable. it is also accommodated and allowed for in the laws of the game.
if you were to call these passes forward you would need to call dozens of passes every single game forward, particularly those where the player making the pass is running at pace as he makes it. See the below for an IRB explanation:

Looked pretty forward to me too, but could be perspective... (doubt it though).
Loved the James O'Connor look-a-like and finally someone putting SBW's boxing into perspective

Looked forward the 1st time around, 2nd time not so much, 3rd time looked for the linesman who was pretty well placed to spot it if ti was, so I'm gonna say it's the perspective.
