New Scrum Laws explained by Ben Kay and Lawrence Dallaglio

This season the new scrum laws have been applied to northern hemisphere rugby, having already been used down south, and in the recent Rugby Championship. The verdict is still out as to whether the new engagement protocol is actually a good or bad thing, with opinions divided.

This video from BT Sports' new Rugby Tonight show will at least give you a better understanding of what actually needs to take place come scrumtime, including one of the more contentious points of late, the scrum feed.

For the first time in a long time, hookers actually have to do what their name suggests.

See what Ben Kay, Lawrence Dallaglio and Matt Dawson had to say about it.

Watching the 6 Nations this weekend, every scrum half "feeds" the ball almost into their second row. Why are the referees ignoring the rules?
