Fourie Du Preez has been a revelation since returning to the Springbok set-up, putting in two Man of the Match performances and playing an integral role in the Boks' success of late. He showed very little, if any signs of being out of Test rugby for two years.
Du Preez will unfortunately be unavailable for the upcoming clash with France in Paris as he returns home to spend time with his wife and newborn child, as well as rest to make sure further injury is avoided, which will no doubt keep him in the good books with his club in Japan, Suntory Sungoliath.
Jano Vermaak has come into the squad as cover but Ruan Pienaar will probably start in Paris.
"Fourie will be sorely missed as he was man of the match in two of the five Tests he played this season," said Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer.
"He really put his body on the line the last fortnight, and we are very fortunate though to replace him with another world class player in Ruan Pienaar."
Against Scotland Du Preez had another great game, and showd that he's not afraid to mix it up with the big boys as he made this great chase and well timed big tackle on eighthman David Denton.
