The Top 5 'Big Boppers' (130kg +) in World Rugby

Huge Wallaby lock Will Skelton is making waves in Australia at the moment (almost literally), so the guys at Rugby HQ thought it was a good time to bring out their list of the Top 5 Big Boppers in world rugby. That's Super Heavyweight status, so to get on the list a player must be over 130kg's.

Look out for fan favourite Ben Tameifuna, and then there's a few clips that we featured on here a while back of huge Opeti Fonua, who famously sent monsieur Wilkinson into orbit.

One of the best Top 5s to date. Pissed myself laughing all the way through this one!

Some scary mothers here too.

I am looking forward to seeing Skelton dominating people over the next few years. But as well as being fucking enormous he's got brilliant dexterity and timing.

My favorite big boy of all time: Ollie Le Roux!

That brought back some rather scary memories. If you'd like to excuse me, I am going to sit in a dark room and watch Cartoon Network until I forget that tight-5 forwards exist.

Skelton is tremendously talented. Size and handling of an NBA point guard, and hits like a bloody train... just ask Faf de Klerk.

When will they bring out top 5 under 6ft?

Not sure if he'll make it in rugby but google 'Skelton brother', if it's legit he's a MONSTER

Palu looks like a scrum half next to Skelton, and that picture of his brother is just downright frightening. He is a New Zealander by birth though isn't he? About time 'Straiya had some weight in the engine room, but I bet the ABs and NZRU selectors are kicking themselves.

I've said it before, there is a fine line between putting your body on the line and sheer stupidity... I think most people would understand if i managed to somehow 'roll my ankle' by 'slipping on a water bottle' during the warm-up. I'd happily take him on if it paid the rent, but 6 months in IC just isn't viable on minimum wage...

Would like to see that. Shall we have a crack at it in the meantime?

Here's my first stab at it:
Steffon Armitage
Leigh Halfpenny
Gio Aplon
Jason Robinson
Shane Williams

Next up: top 5 under 12 stones...

^^^^
That was meant to be a reply to 10stone's suggestion of a top 5 under 6ft...

Excuse the pun, but there surely has to be room for Peter Stringer in that lot...

Um, yeah. Those are some giants.

I do enjoy a trip into the old SA memory bank, and I always recall (the late) Jan Lock as the biggest guy playing rugby. To be more accurate, Lock didn't so much play as walk from one set piece to the next.

But he was a giant. North of 130kgs? I dunno, but in the amateur era, he might as well have been.
