The Impact of British and Irish Lions Tours

With the Lions tour already feeling like a distant memory, here is a look at how the huge event will have impacted in New Zealand, from a media, fan and financial point of view. As explained, the Lions visiting a country every twelve years supplies a huge economic injection.

While there has been talk of the 'brand' fading away and possibly even coming to an end if this tour was a 3-0 loss, the way the Lions played - on the back of a 2013 tour win against Australia - went a long way to securing their future. They will head to South Africa next, in 2021.
