Kurtley Beale late try snatches win for Wallabies over Wales

These highlights don't seem to be very balanced as the Wallabies had a few line breaks throughout the game that showed as much promise as Wales, but they didn't seem to merit making the highlight reel. To me a draw would have felt like a fair result to the game, as both teams were equally average for most of it. However the Wallabies looked pretty good in the last ~3 minutes when they had their backs to the wall and started playing a more expansive running game, and they were rewarded for having a go with the try to win it. Once again they did just enough to get over the finish line, and that looks promising to build from next year.

By the way Jonathan Davies has to be one of the worst commentators out there, if he's going to be so biased towards Wales then I wish he wouldn't pretend to be objective.

Wales score bizarre try with thirteen man lineout against the All Blacks

Were they taking the piss? What a joke if that's the only way you can score a try vs. the All Blacks... Kind of telling about the state of Welsh rugby right now.

Clermont snatch dramatic 50th consecutive Stade Marcel Michelin victory

I wondered about that as well, thought the penalty would be at the 5m line, not the 15m.

Fantastic rugby to watch that Top 14... Wish I lived over that way to see a match live!

Brock James and Gits both playing good rugby at the moment - give those guys a Wallabies jersey tomorrow!!

Rob Simmons escapes on-field punshment for dangerous tackle on Yannick Nyanga

I didn't ever hear the ref ask Moore (the acting captain) for the number of the offending player, or address the Aussie team for the offending player to step forward - he only seems to ask the assistant refs and act on the information (or lack thereof) he receives from them. I've had that happen before, where the ref has asked the captain to bring the player forward.

I'm also not sure the tackle warrants the vilification Simmons is getting from a lot of the posts. It's clumsy yes, but the player lands squarely on his back (not his head) and Simmons goes to ground with him (vs. dumping/dropping him). Re. the "lateness" of it, he also had no idea the ball was long gone. I've seen a lot worse get a lot less than what the hordes are screaming for here.

All Black Adam Thomson's boot on Alasdair Strokosch's head

I stand corrected, thanks. However I still thought refs had guidelines, i.e. offence x = penalty y?

Mistake? It was only a mistake if he mistook the guy's scrum cap for the ball. Thomson knew exactly where he was putting his boot. And it doesn't make a difference if the guy was all over the ball, you just can't ruck like you did in the good ol' days.

I might have to reach for the rule book, but I thought rucking to the head (intentional or not) was an automatic red card? At least it used to be - I got done for that one myself once.

Elvis Vermeulen yellow carded for huge hit on Zee Ngwenya

Can't see anything wrong with that - don't think he was taken in the air, by my reckoning (admittedly, the video's a little grainy...) his foot had just touched the ground when the hit came in. Game on!
