The least impressive one was May. He gassed Conrad Smith which I could probably do and then Dagg misjudged his timing. Not really any more than that, pure individual effort (although is was two on four so have to give some credit).
The Boks ones were both really impressive but probably the one vs NZ was more special because they went on to win for the first time in several years. In fact, both were better than the Habana one that won it a couple in recent years.
But I'm tempted to give it to the Canadians just based on the knot in my stomach as she broke away! Length of the field try from a tight head, not often you see that. Plus Canada beating France in the WC. She'd be the only women's rugby player most people were talking about this year and not just because she's cute!

Poor Matt Dunning, for the next century (or at least until we get rugby league scrums and props change body type) whenever a front rower even considers kicking a ball, his name will come up. It's one of rugby's great stories, along with Umaga hand bagging Masoe to tears.

I love that they barely know how to answer the question about faafafine because it's so accepted they don't really have to have an explanation.

Ideally you'd want them mostly to be international players but the tradition is to pick one or two uncapped. The trouble with this fixture is that as far as i know it's not an official test so none of the European clubs have to release players to play for the Barbarians and the top 30 players from NZ, Oz, SA and several other countries are on tour. So it leaves mostly tier 2-3 players who are available and willing. Still a very nice squad though.

Sonny Bill took a dive but I can't remember who it was against - maybe Australia? Sneaky smile on his face afterwards too. One more reason some people don't like the guy

Keep in mind that it's not international rugby but two villages. It is classic islander humour that you see plenty of during more casual games.
I'm guessing the "bloody kiwi or aussie" (i'm one of them) point meant that even though we're not islanders (although technically we are), we can spot islander humour when we see it.

I would hardly say they "found" him - he'd already played U19 and U20 for NZ.

Mate, what are you on about? When did the ABs last stick their fingers in someone's eye? I can think of a few similar incidents that went unpunished in the last couple of yeas
Rougerie on McCaw
MacLaughlin on McCaw
JdP on Moore
How does that fit into your conspiracy theory?

I misread the titled as was expecting to see him pass through the legs of someone else to set up a try. Now that would have been impressive! Between his own legs is good enough but a bit of a let down considering my expectations.

I could be wrong but he probably converted because his manager Nasser is Muslim. There were a few other Muslims at the doggies over the years so maybe it happened back then but first i heard about it was when he was refusing water while on his first tour to SA during Ramadan.
Nasser also managed Anthony Mundine, who converted and has himself converted Blake Ferguson a few weeks ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Quade Cooper "came out" and announced he had too.
