All Blacks retain Bledisloe Cup with Wellington win over Wallabies

When you say kiwi fans crucify you, do you mean they kill your argument backed up with stats and examples?

Last week the ABs lost the penalties 11-6 and were carded once and everyone said we should have been carded more. This week the Aussies lost the penalties 16-8 and everyone says the ABs should have been carded more. How does that work? You can't have it both ways.

Oh, it was penalties in the red zone you say? I'm watching the replay now and am 42 minutes in. So far, I have seen Toomua get penalised for exactly the same offence as A Smith (not releasing, 1m from the try line) then Moore also came in from the side in the same advantage. The Wallabies were penalised 4 times in 8 minutes but not even a warning. Moore himself, was penalised 3 times in 27 minutes. Next, Lealiifano was penalised for offside 1m from the try line in the lead up to second try. No card. I'm 42 minutes in and have counted 10 penalties (including that one under advantage).

Yet the ABs had poor discipline in the red zone and deserved to be carded according to everyone?

Is it a conspiracy? No, it's natural that people want to complain about the best team. Of course Kiwis don't sit around whinging about the ref after we win. We might do it after we lose but that doesn't happen to often.

Midweek Madness - Damien Traille takes a dive and gets player sinbinned

I love the total look of anguish on his face as he goes down as if he's just been stabbed in the stomach, rather than barely tackled. A flop to milk the 10m penalty would have been one thing but this next-level actressing takes it into the football realm

The All Blacks crush the Wallabies in Bledisloe One in Sydney

ABs will also be concerned that they conceded 29. Last year they turned around a 27-19 win in Sydney and pulled off 22-0 in Auckland the next week. They'll need to be more careful about their kickable penalty count and clean up the malfunctioning line out.

McKenzie may be glad to get his two AB games out of the way early in the honeymoon then build for the next twelve months.

Chris Masoe finds new role as touchjudge after assistant ref injury

Oh I love rugby. Assistant ref goes down with a nasty injury and still walks off. Not sure about that medic though, supporting him on the wrong side, looked painful.

The Top 5 Finals Moments of All Time

I actually really like all of the extra non-rugby moments. Everyone complaining that Jonny's 2003 droppie wasn't included is missing the point. Buzzer beaters happen all the time, exciting but not necessarily as quirky, interesting or rare as a swarm of bees, random fog, a drop-goal off or a nation united. #2 was obviously just there for the Aussies.

Anyone missing Jonny's goal can go watch the buzzer beaters vid again

The Magic Of Bledisloe, featuring the George Gregan miracle tackle in 1994

Nice tackle but even better...

I'm only 6 years late but that link above about Gregan ruining Jeff's holiday is sooooo effing funny. My girlfriend raced into the room thinking I was having a seizure

Schoolboy suffers horrific double break below the knee - Injury update

Get well mate. A friend of mine had the same injury in school, playing soccer of all things. He was eventually back on his feet and became a pro cyclist. Don't let this stop you!

Crusaders look ahead to another Semi Final after crushing the Reds

Please don't paint us all with the same brush. Plenty of Kiwis are embarrassed by the booing, me being one of them, and I'm in good company with RM, DC, and Israel Dagg

Pedro it sounds to me like you're as cocky as you claim Cooper to be. How exactly would you expect him to earn your respect? It's been two years since he did anything wrong. Does he need to come around to your place and mow the lawns or wash your feet? Get over yourself.

We never heard years of booing for Bakkies, Hartley, Greyling, or Higgenbotham, or Mealamu, Thomson or Hore for that matter. Why Cooper? He screwed up, we let him know about it, time to move on.

And btw, we usually call the other team the "opposition" rather than the "enemy".

Rene Ranger shows the finger after high tackle by Bundee Aki

Surely it wasn't aimed at the touchie on the far side. It happens before we even know it's just a penalty and no card so why would he flip him the bird?

Ok, lack of class or sportsmanship but maybe there's more to it than we know. Could be that there was already some niggle leading up to it. As long as it wasn't at the official then I don't think it's worth worrying about and certainly less of a concern than head high tackling.
