Sunwolves lock Tim Bond suspended for 4 weeks for dangerous tackle

Definitely a red card. A further question though; Is this worse than a tip tackle or taking a man out in the air. Offenses which appear to be more heavily sanctioned at the moment

Anthony Watson furious after receiving straight red card vs Saracens

My argument is with the law, not with it's application, therefore it is valid to say that high profile games are being impacted. If forward passes where a yellow card offence, then it would be acceptable criticism to say that games were being disproportionately impacted. Furthermore, high profile games provide the coverage to debate what is right for the game.

Frank Lampard's disallowed goal in the 2010 World Cup in front of Blatter and countless millions began the process of introducing goal-technology in professional football. Similar incidents had taken place countless times before when the technology has been available, but not in such a high profile game.

Anthony Watson furious after receiving straight red card vs Saracens

I think World Rugby have got themselves in a pickle at the moment by heavily penalising things that look dangerous rather than those which cause injury. I feel they need to back up their focus on such offences with some evidence because many high profile games are being impacted these decisions

Josh Mann-Rea punches earn him a red card and 1 week ban

They're scared of making a big decision and getting it wrong. They'd rather let the citing deal with it, like with Francis the other week or Burger in 2007

Manu Tuilagi makes another two huge hits against Exeter Chiefs

The first one is American football style and why they get so many concussions!

And Cockers has been on a PR campaign for the whole 6 nations to stop Manu getting called up. He even had de Villiers saying the same thing in the BBC's rugby program

Chris Ashton penalised for dragging Luke Marshall down by the face

I'm sure if Ashton was giving money to the poor many would find a way to criticise him!
It seems like incidental contact, but it is reckless and he may get banned. Not anything like Raisuque though, as Ashton was actually trying to play the game rather than fighting

Drew Mitchell scores dramatic try at the death as Toulon snatch victory from Wasps

At 2.55 you can see Nonu spotting the defender has turned in and then it's a simple in-line from Mitchell. Great work from two great players

Nick Abendanon says England players not backing overseas selection policy is 'pathetic'

Well he was never going to get picked! Armitage may have been a better option, but he never claimed a place when he had his chance.
I'm also not sure why we should model any domestic rugby on the Top 14 because the league is skilless wrestling match that has caused huge issues for the French national team. As an England fan I'm not sure whether it was better to go out in the group or to concede 60 points in the quarter finals....

All Blacks beat determined Samoa in historic first ever Test in Apia

I have South Africa Samoa World Cup tickets so I'm pleased to see the Samoa are looking good! The All Blacks have so much more to give when the Canes' and Highlanders players come back, some of their replacements weren't too hot.
