Rugby Tactics: Using the Grubber Kick to beat defences

Also good to note that a grubber kick can't be marked, making it even more of a nuisance for defences.

Number eight Nathan Hughes bumps off flyhalf George Ford with big carry

Interesting how there's only talk of Wasps players getting an England call up now that the club's doing well. It shouldn't be that good players are hindered because of the lack of success for their club. Likewise it shouldn't be that average players are propelled into the England setup because their club's doing well.

Imagine for a second, that in his brief Union stint, Joel Tomkins played for Wasps and Elliot Daly for Saracens. Who would have more England caps? The same case can be made for so many players.

Comparing the Jared Payne and Michael Rhodes cards for similar incidents

Banning jumping is one of the most ridiculous things anyone's ever posted on a rugby forum of any kind ever.

Christian Wade scores easy try after Dave Kearney bouncing ball blunder

Imagine if every time Dickson and Wigglesworth got a cap, they instead chose to give it to Simpson. Imagine what this guy could have made of an England career. There's still time, he's only 27. Please let's not waste the second half of his career like the first half.

Highlights and celebrations as All Blacks win successive Rugby World Cup titles

Sonny Bill; Two rugby world cups, one league world cup, heavy weight boxing champion of New Zealand, now chasing an Olympic medal, better looking than me, and also as it turns out a nicer guy than me. Fuck.

Friday Funnies - Dan Biggar's bizarre kicking ritual, the Biggar Shuffle

You'd think with all the technology and science behind the sport these days the most scientifically accurate technique would come through. Obviously there's psychological factors at hand, but surely there's a way of working this out. There's been so many styles. Percy Montgomery used to take a two step run up, André Pretorius used mud instead of a bloody tee!( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RAC9AfDoMQ skip to 1:50), Farrell has his ball practically horizontal to the tee and others take it vertical off of a cone. There has to be a specific angle and run up which gives the most efficient transfer of energy through the ball.

Nemani Nadolo banned for dangerous David Pocock clean out

Thanks for clearing that up, RD. I wonder why World Rugby is now taking such a strong stance to contact with the neck, exclusively with rucks and nowhere else in play. What is it with rucks and nowhere else on the pitch that makes this such an extreme issue. You could very well argue that the link I posted is more dangerous than the clear-out he got banned for.

Nemani Nadolo banned for dangerous David Pocock clean out

Interesting that the video I saw doing the rounds for Nadolo's ban was a totally different incident.

Has anyone taken time to read the disciplinary report? Was this ban the result of two incidents?
