New Zealand snatch victory in the dying minutes after strong England showing

I'm a huge fan of Foden and one of his biggest advocates, but l would really love to see how Pennell takes to international rugby. The stuff he's managed to do with a truly terrible Worcester team around him merit an international opportunity.

There's a great tribute to him here:

I'm probably going get shot down on this one, but I can't see any reason for playing Wood ahead of The Hask. Better ball carrier, bigger hits in defence, more athletic and physical...just a more effective player. There were times when critics (myself included) questioned his commitment to international rugby as he was heading off to Super Rugby. But his performances in the Aviva and his work rate on saturday spoke volumes.

The Top 5 French Flair moments of All Time

Is there any particular reason PSA's decided to start a bloke who can't even make the bench for his club in the most important position on the pitch in one of the most hostile fixtures in international rugby? And let's not get started on the fact he's dropped Dulin and Picamoles.

International coaching credentials I may lack, but I find a good way of picking a team is usually to select the players the opposition don't want you to select. I'm not Australian, but if I were, I would be jumping for joy.

Flyhalf killer Courtney Lawes adds Charlie Hodgson to his list in Premiership final

It's getting to the point where there needs to be a new section on rugby dump devoted entirely to Courtney Lawes. It's actually more of a surprise if he doesn't make it on here after playing than if he does.

Star studded Barbarians too good for England XV at Twickenham

It was an awesome attacking performance yet again for Daly. Especially considering he's become a victim of his own versatility and has to play every game at full back. For someone who's so clearly an outside centre he sure as hell doesn't play there much.

George Pisi's brutal blindside hit on Nick Abendanon in Challenge Cup Final

The premiership will sorely miss this guy. Top bloke, and unlucky to never really get a chance for England. I suspect this sparks the end of any further potential caps. Not a Bath fan but I've got a lot of time for Abendanon.

Great hit.

Glasgow Warriors upset Munster then Leinster edge Ulster in tense PRO12 Semis

You're probably right. I've only seen the highlights so it's pure speculation.

Glasgow Warriors upset Munster then Leinster edge Ulster in tense PRO12 Semis

In the build up to Munster's first try could Keith Earls' actions not be considered obstruction in its most extreme? I haven't seen the game but it seems like he's taken out the Glasgow player and left the rest of the team to defend their try line with 14 men instead of 15 men. Surely if there's the slightest possibility the try would have been stopped by that player the try can not be awarded.

I doubt that was Earls' intention, it seems as though he's just wound up by something. But nevertheless the consequence is Glasgow are down to 14 men in a perilous situation. Obviously with less players there's more space for the attacking team to exploit. It would be interesting to know if there's a specific ruling against this.
