Best Tries from week two of the End of Year Tests

So good to see the french playing like that! They seem to be finally able to play together. At first when I watched the other games' highlights I thought "yeah well, samoa was really poor, the french victory isn't that impressive". Then I had another look at the FR-SAM highlights and... maybe Samoa wasnt playing at its best, but there is nothing to say about those french attack moves. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Let's see how things will go VS Australia. Looking forward!

France bounce back with convincing victory over Argentina in second Test

Agreed on that back row. Well, that's unless someone could clone Picamoles...

France bounce back with convincing victory over Argentina in second Test

Read on Rugbyrama that Noves wants to keep on playing with three n°8 players. He doesn't think he needs a real 3rd line tackler. The idea being "you don't need to tackle when you have the ball".
Well that's a change for sure, Dusautoir being the only certainty in the previous team!

France bounce back with convincing victory over Argentina in second Test

It was pretty hard to find a place to watch that game with all that soccer going on! Eventually, home streaming was the only option! I guess not many people watched it but still i'd like to hear unbiased opinions on that game! It was a real massacre... Two or three other tries could have been scored, and a couple of penalties. Could have been 50-0.
Do you think the Pumas were drunk or something? I'd like to rejoyce but do not dare.
Anyway some really good news for the french with this "B team" performing well. Serin looks like an exceptionnal scrum half.

Scotland come up trumps against France at Murrayfield

Thanks, that would explain it. Forward pass by the french then back to an infringement by the scots (the collapsing the maul thing) hence the touch. That makes sense.

Scotland come up trumps against France at Murrayfield

Oh by the way can anyone explain why Fickou's try was disallowed? Was watching the game in a crowded pub and all I saw was:
- Fickou crossing and grounding the ball;
- Jackson raising a hand;
- a banner on tv saying "collapsing the maul"
- and then a french touch.

There is a huge gap between "clinical" and this drunk surgeons team :-)

As a matter of fact I m not french and I was wearing a scottish hoodie during the game :-)
Whatever.
Let's say it was good rugby with way too many handling errors from the french. and a totally inconsistent scrum.
Maybe some french fans cannot bear the thought of loosing to scotland...OK.
I really don't want to lessen the scots performance. But I think some people might in truth have been so happy to see those brilliant scots winning that they forget about those 20 lost balls by the french. There were 16 scrums, 15 for scotland, 1 for the french (which they won giving them a 100% ratio!).
35-35 would have been a perfect result imo :-)

I must say I also find it surprising to read those comments.
The Scots really are a thrilling team nowadays. I love that.
Regarding France I ve read their rate of passes and offloads is the highest in the tournament and yet they will most likely end up on the fifth position. I think that tells a lot.
In the french media they say les Bleus lost the ball llike 20+ times. They produce a couples of minutes of really interesting rugby, a couple of times during the game. But it was their worst game this far under Guy Noves, who is very disapointed.
