Joe Pietersen's sensational try for the Stormers against the Highlanders

Superb try! He made the right calls all along, keeping it when it was the better option and passing it in the right timing.
The little kick in the end seems a bit pointless because when he collects it again the defender is still at his level and not behind him. The kicking technique is absolutely perfect in full speed though!

Ben Youngs cited for striking London Irish's Jamie Gibson

Agreed. There's no citing needed here but a penalty reversal is not enough. Clear yellow card for Youngs who should just learn how to behave on a pitch. Most refs would probably have sent off both scrum halves here but I personally would just have given the card to Youngs.
Awesome tackle to get him off Gibson :D

Friday Funnies - Touchdown!

This is absolutely ridiculous! How can you be this stupid? Obviously not a try from the n8, maybe afterwards from a team mate but clearly not deserved.
Defence should always play to the whistle!

Wales win Grand Slam after tense battle with France in Cardiff

Another weird performance from the french, some great moves but no tries, some stupid mistakes but no following punishment. The welsh played a simple game of rugby and deserved the win once again. Superb performance from Lydiate indeed!
Italy finally playing a full 80 minutes match and it pays off! Their determination and powerful forwards rugby was enough to win a game despite their quite poor back line.

O2 Inside Line - Six Nations 2012, episode 5

Thanks for the link. Loads of information in theses stats. It's nice to see Gray in the top carriers even though he's a second row!

France vs Ireland ends in disappointing stalemate in Paris

I think Ireland played a good overall game but this draw is the result of France giving points away, not using the space they created and not putting enough effort in the rucks. How many times were french forwards isolated from support: too many!
Their comeback is a minimum to nearly save a very disappointing performance.
Ireland was the better team on the pitch today because they put more effort into it.

Random Best Tries from the Top 14 in 2012

n3 is the best because there is everything you want to see in there: genius teamwork from Nagusa and Trinh-Duc, amazing kick, speed, fast passing and quick support.

The big hits, try savers, and collisions from England vs Wales

As I said it earlier, it looked like Robshaw pulled Warburton down in the lineout but looking closely, this is entirely Lydiate's fault (Wales 6). Instead of just lifting Warburton he threw him in the air and you can see his ass is easily two feet above Lydiate's hands.
Not only does he throw him but he doesn't do any effort to land him safely. It's very dangerous for his teammate, as a jumper I know you need to have confidence in the lifters to help you down safely when something's gone wrong.

The big hits, try savers, and collisions from England vs Wales

Good video! Superb tackle from Warburton on Tuilagi!
On Warburton falling badly from a line out, I thought it was from England but actually the English player only helps him down a little. It's the lifter's fault for throwing him in the air instead of a normal lift. He's two feet higher than Lydiate's hands.
