Sam Cane cleared while Malakai Fekitoa receives one week ban

I can't help but imagine the amount of nuclear meltdown we'd see on the media had the Irish played South Africa instead

Are the All Blacks a dirty team? Fans divided after battle in Dublin

I do agree with your opinion on the need for clarification. While I believe the outcome of the citing was fair, I feel Cane was lucky not to get a yellow on the field - others have been carded before due to referee discretion

Are the All Blacks a dirty team? Fans divided after battle in Dublin

Poor discipline, but not dirty. In fact common for any test team in the world.

It's like the majority of the complaints are made by people who's not seen a rugby match before - and I suspect that's the case, they probably didn't know or care the All Blacks were going to play the Irish in Dublin if it weren't for their win in Chicago.

New Zealand avenge previous loss with bruising win over Ireland

The media, as usual, does more sensationalism, and less illumination.

It was a physical match, and both team's players came out battered and bruised, but you don't hear them whinging and raising hell about it. The loudest mouths are the retirees, the columnists and social media.

New Zealand avenge previous loss with bruising win over Ireland

The Irish played with heart, but no industry. Even with the benefit of playing against 14 men, they continued to attack using rugby league style of play. I don't know why they refused to be more ambitious in attack on their home turf, they did in Chicago and they won. They didn't in Dublin, and they lost. Which begs the question - will we see their Chicago performance again? And when?

Otherwise, normal routine has resumed

Ireland break drought to upset New Zealand for the first time ever

Good point DrG almost forgot about that (and that 60-0 was done without Carter and McCaw too). I'm sure we all agree that the All Blacks are certainly beatable - they lost the Wallabies just last year.

The question everyone has in their mind now, and the Irish will answer it for us come Dublin, is whether the All Blacks are domitable.

Here's my ideal scenario, the All Blacks unleash some of their frustrations on the poor Italians, then head to Dublin, and the the mental states of the two teams are calibrated just right for a close game.

Of course being an AB supporter, I hope the ABs eventually come out on top.

Well that's all the more reason to be excited about another close match. As much as All Blacks will be playing with intensified ferocity, so too will the Irish, who'll be playing at home.

All Blacks break record for successive wins as they beat the Wallabies

Congratulations All Blacks!

I'm now excited to see the ABs play the Irish - will we see another close game like in 2013? Will Ireland make history this time?

Wallabies disallowed try viewed as a major turning point in loss

I agree that disallowing that try was harsh and uncalled for. I also believe TMO Veldsman was overstepping his boundaries by his two unusual calls (the obstruction call, and attempting to reverse Owen's forward pass decision).

That said, this is hardly a turning point. The final score was 37-10.
