Dimitri Yachvili forgets he's playing rugby, backheels pass for Erik Lund try

hmmm good point. This thread leave me in so much doubt as to what I do and do not know about this scenario!

Dimitri Yachvili forgets he's playing rugby, backheels pass for Erik Lund try

Agreed. Charging down a kick does not constitute a knock-on, so playing the ball after being in front of it is essentially a moot point.

Ref Cam makes it's debut in the Top 14 with Romain Poite

Some of the scrum shots were a bit mundane, but the open field shots were wicked. It really made you feel like you were on the pitch. Can't see the footage being used much in real time during games, however. That said it would make a lot of sense as to use some of the footage for replays during down time or for the TMO. And at the very least it should make players be a little more cautious in their dealings with the referee.

Highlanders vs Chiefs Highlights - Super Rugby 2013 Round 2

Those highlights hardly do that game any justice! Nanai-Williams' last try was especially sensational: it happened after what seemed like 20+ minutes of continuous running rugby with 2 turnovers! Such a tense game.

On another note, Congrats should go out to Fumiaki Tanaka. I'm pretty sure by taking the field in the second half he became the first Japanese player to have game time in Super Rugby. And he played really well at that

Sergio Parisse red carded and banned for insulting referee

I read somewhere (can't recall where sadly) that Parisse had said he was cursing under his breath at the way play was going on. He didn't direct it towards the ref. That's the "we can not play like this part". The first curses were frustration, and I think Parisse was arguing that the ref thought they were directed at him.

Wales win in Paris as France lose for second time in succession

Wales may have won, but play with that kind of energy (or lack thereof) again and they could well get beaten in Rome, not to mention against England or Scotland.

Scotland score four tries in impressive win over Italy at Murrayfield

Hard to watch as a neutral. After the victory in Rome I was kinda hoping for an Italian win. I think they deserve a strong campaign after all of the weak ones up until now. The sad part about Orquera's intercepted pass is that if he held on to it, he almost surely would have scored between the posts. Imagine the energy that would have injected into the Italian camp.

But on the other hand it was actually a good entertaining game, at the very least far better than the Wales v France game. I still think Scotland played well and I'm glad they got a win because I'd like to see them do well. They have some talented and spirited players. But like Italy I think their system fails them: why do they only have two professional teams? I think it just limits selections and competition.

Big fight between Belgium and Georgia in Rugby World Cup qualifier

Thanks for posting that video! That seems like an awesome match, and a great crowd. Lots of home support. I wish Belgian rugby all the best!

Italy stun France with another Six Nations upset win in Rome

What a game that was. The last five minutes were tense as any I've ever watched. Orquera was awesome, Castro was his usual self, and Parisse again showed why he's the best.

Think of what this can do for this year's 6N. We have defending champions Wales facing favourites France next weekend and both seem to have their title hopes dashed - both will have fire under their feet. Scotland vs Italy was predicted to be the wooden spoon decider but Italy of course could take it, but Scotland also has some young talent and a new coach, could be an unknown quantity. Although they lost to England I think they showed potential. And England vs Ireland in Dublin could be a title-decider. We could be in for a dramatic reversal of the expected table after the second week alone!
