Hmmm, difficult... As the pundits have said, started off fine, ended up not fine...
For me it's the point at 0:11 which is where my focus is where TF is standing up holding AG... If TF had fallen to the ground with AG at this point I doubt there'd be any problems but then skipping along to 0:14 TF is still completely upright and holding AG who is now horizontal...
I don't think TF is entirely to blame as I feel that the number 2 (assisting tackler) is the one who cocks it all up... But I am not sure you can punish an assisting tackler (as guy suggests)...precedent perhaps?.. Or perhaps as always it is the tacklers (initial tackler) responsibility for the safety of the opposition player, i.e. "had TF not lifted AG in that manner then No.2's collar grabbed would not have done anything etc etc etc"
Again 2 more people add Lawes to their list?!?!? Who is he really? The guy has made less of an impact on the rugby scene at least from what I have heard, than the impact someone like Peter Stringer would make on Bakkies Botha's knee cap....
I have no idea why Lawes is picked by so many, I've never seen him in European domestic stuff (other than RD) and Internationally? No idea who he is in the international scene, other than an injury prone hammer who has Ko'd or injured a few smaller players.... is that all that is needed to get onto the B&I lions?? Goodluck with the tour if it is...
Regarding Thomson Strokosch incident, I'll use your template:
With the benefit of watching it twice /thrice .....my Law (insert law number here) decision tree would be
Offence = Yes
Intent = No - reasoning is although he certainly put his boot down, it was more a notification than a direct "i'm gonna injure you" thrust (of the boot)
Decision = Caution [& very stern warning]
No browner, we must accept that the old days were nothing but thuggery. One must detach ones balls in order to play todays game....right? Thats what you've been saying for the last few weeks isn't it?
No it was deadly serious, he has brought the game into such disrepute that I think it should become extinct, or banned for the safety of all our children...
It would have to ring alarm bells for Sale early on to have all those disallowed tries... the fact that Toulon got that close to even GET a disallowed try is worrying...then the barrage of tries later on... Must have been a tough day.
Played in some pretty awful conditions; Hot days and no grass on the pitch, Cold days and ice on the pitch, mud so thick that studs did nothing to grip, one of the worst wet pitches was when I was playing for school and an away team had a puddle right in the centre, I think the referee said that the players could kick the ball straight from the hand at the kickoff because they couldn't drop kick it...(can't remember exactly)..

Yeh me too, shoulder charges could lead to whiplash, or broken necks and therefore the death of players!
