I have to try this with my team on a home game! Even if it doesn't work, the crowd will go wild!

Also have to express admiration for McCaw for how he takes this kind of abuse. No diving, no whinning, no punching and he went on to make 13 tackles and a number of steals in the game, basicly being one of the reasons the ABs didn't lose the match. Highenbottom, on the other hand, could have cost his team the game, had the referee redcarded him like he deserved

What are you, simple? I'm not even going to argue that any other fetcher will do what he does, like pocock. But are you trying to say that he deserves to get flying elbows, knees to the head and headbuts, in this case AFTER THE WHISTLE, because he lays offside? Gee, I'd hate to see what would happen if you would play against bakkies. You'd probably end up shooting him at half time and it would be ok because he is just a thug.
If McCaw transgresses or not in the breakdown is an entirely different subject altogether. In rugby you are NOT allowed to knee, elbow, kick, punch or headbut a guy no matter how angry you are towards a player or his actions. What's next? Assaulting the referee everytime he screws up (boy, would bryce lawrence be in trouble)? Stick to football

Well, it seems that most tools and fools dont realize they are one. Well done, guest, for proving canadian content's point in your second post. Class.
I love the plays of the week. It's a bias show, but it's supposed to be bias, or else it would lose part of the fun, and it's a comedy bit, so...
Well, we're heading into a kind of a test dry spell for a couple of weeks, so why not invest in some Aviva, Top14, Heinekken and etc.? We used to have loads of clips here from the NH, but not so much anymore, barring the funnies and the "tries from the top14"

I love the commentators! "Hmmm, some bloke got hit in the head, hope he's ok, zzZzzZ... ... OH NO!! HE'S GOT TWO PINTS! HE'S GOT TWO PINTS!!!". But they are right, things only get real when a man spills his beer!
Fair play to the guy for laughing it of, as we all know those can sting in your neck, especially if you haven't warmed up. Hope he got a couple of free pints

I don't know if I agree with you on this one, pretzel. A center is not a prop or a lock, where you can play until much later in life (roncero, thorn, etc). He has visibly lost more than a yard of pace in the last couple of years. You normally don't notice that because drico has enough experience to compensate that missing pace with superb positioning and running lines (plus a heart as big as a house).
The question for me is that I even if he has the skill to make the move south, I don't know if he can cope with the pace and the physical demands of super rugby, undeniably faster and harder (where else would you see Western Province/Stormers' flank problem, for example?). As it stands, O'driscol will probably travel with the lions, but he won't ever be first choice. The welsh duo is outstanding, with roberts and davies (who is not just a big guy, he can set up tries and pass like mad) and even scott williams. From england he has Tuilagui to compete with, and I don't think he'll have to worry with scotish competition. Drico will travell as backup, hopefully acompained by darren cave. Super Rugby just seems a step to far so late in his career. It isn't just a month long tour, is't a gruelling and demanding competition.
As for the sellout talk from barryT, pardon the expression but just take your head out your arse. The man has devoted 15 years to Leinster and I think 12 to Ireland, he is a stalwart of courage, comitment and love for the jersey. Leinster stood by him and in turn he gave them everything in a very, very long and successfull career. Even if I think he won't cope with Super Rugby, he more than deserves the oportunity to try new experiences in rugby while he is still able to. And besides, why can't he go to the southern hemisfere and then come back a few years later to get involved in coaching, etc. in Leinster? Professionally and as a person (with a huge devotion to his province), he is an example for most sportsmen, so cut him some slack, will you?

@Ottawa Rugger: What you have to keep in mind is that the referee had already asked for the TMO, so there is no difference (in terms of "slowing the game") between doing some crappy work or applying some justice. I'm all for calling the TMO the least amount of times possible, as I think some referees try to shift responsability from their shoulders, but if you're going to do it, at least you should get some results/justice from it.
I also have to agree, in part, with what has been said here. Because of rugby fans, who pride themselves of being chivalrous and all, starting to become vociferous and bias animals towards referees (i.e. a south africans calling for a life ban for bryce lawrence, but defending bakkies "justice4" botha with their teeth and nails... again, an example, there are others from other countries), who remain human and therefore imperfect, some referees are chickening out and prefer these post-match, let's-patch-up-our-mess bans than taking some action on the field. This is ruinning the game. There is allways going to be mistakes, could haves, should haves, would haves in every sport, but it's a referees job to sort out as much of them as they can instead of spectating and waiting for the citing comission to come butting in. And the fans just have to deal with it. A mistake is not allways some big conspiracy or corruption cancer. Maybe, just once, it can be a mistake.

I guess that's why the argentinians call him "El Mago", the magician.
One of the most exciting talents in the world for quite some time, but constantly cut short by his strings of injuries. There is still time, though, and argentina will need him to build on their concrete defense with some strokes of genius on attack
