Solly Tyibilika scores on Springbok debut vs Scotland in 2004

Very Sad to hear of Solly's passing. He was a great inspiration and player. Condolences to his family and friends. The rugby world has lost a great member. RIP Solly.

Delon Armitage suspended for five weeks for two incidents

Both were absolute shockers - well deserving of a lengthy ban. What's the deal with these primadonna's (Fuimaono-Sapolu and now Armitage) trying to be clever/smart on social media? How stupid can they be? It makes me sick to think that these idiots are supposedly 'professionals' - they're an absolute disgrace to sport (not just rugby), and themselves.

The Alternate Plays of the Rugby World Cup 2011

How about worst improv of the year - when Ian Smith insulted Thierry Dusautoir at the RWC Final man of the match presentation by calling him Thierry Henry?!?! Shocker!

Rugby World Cup 2011 Team of the Tournament

This would be my XV based on flair and heart. Although they might not have been the "stars" of the tournament they certainly impressed me.

1. Rodrigo Ronsero
2. Bismark du Plessis
3. Owen Franks
4. Brad Thorn
5. Victor Matfield
6. Thierry Dusautoir
7. Schalk Burger (although Kleeberger was one of my RWC favourites)
8. Imanol Harinordoquy
9. Francois Hougaard
10. Rhys Priestland
11. George North
12. Jamie Roberts
13. Richard Kahui
14. James O'Connor
15. Paul Williams

Chris Hala'ufia banned for seven weeks for dangerous tackle on Olly Morgan

I think if I was one of Morgan's teammates, I'd still be hitting that prick. That was BRUTAL... If he'd hit him a few inches higher, say in the temple, Morgan could very well be done.

Rugby World Cup Daily - Semi Finalists confirmed

That's the understatement of a lifetime! Never once did Pocock release the tackled player before he played the ball, not once was he called. Not to mention some questionable scrum calls.

Rugby World Cup Daily - Semi Finalists confirmed

Brilliant day of rugby. It's just sad that Bryce Lawrence had to have such an influence in the QF #3. Not to take away from the Wallaby win, but his lack of calls were a serious blemish on an otherwise fierce contest. The IRB need to do some serious work in that area of the game. I'm not sure how a referee can be appointed after he's admitted to making mistakes in the previous game he controlled when the Wallabies play Ireland. If you don't believe me, google it. After that admission, I don't think there's any way he could possibly have been unbiased.

I was incredibly inspired by the determination, and vigour that the Argies showed today against the ABs. So many great tackles, always willing to run the ball, and a never die attitude - MASSIVE credit to them for showing their class and strength today.

England's Courtney Lawes suspended for two weeks

Well it was a citing, and it has been ruled as a suspension as noted above. Your response seems to suggest that if a similar incident happened between two lesser teams, that maybe no one would care. I disagree strongly. As any game on this stage (international, nevermind the RWC) between any opponents is important, and any actions such as Lawes should be stamped out of the game. Regardless of whether the opponent was knocked out or not, Lawes' actions were reckless, dangerous and could have seriously injured the opponent. I'm all for hard, assertive and physical rugby, but I'm also a firm believer that Lawes crossed the fine line of physical and dangerous.

Rugby World Cup Daily - Injuries, citings, and fans

I hope Lawes gets a lengthy ban. He definitely crossed the line between playing hard, and playing recklessly with intent to injure. In the above mentioned incidents his opponents were both in vulnerable positions and Lawes intended to inflict injury upon both of them. It's quite fortunate that neither of the Argentines were injured more severely. I think his actions warrant his RWC to be over as well. On rugby's biggest stage the last thing the game needs is fools like him taking people out of the competition and potentially worse...
