Have rated twelvetrees for a long time now and defended him from his critics, but not sure I can justify that after saturdays performance. Twice (maybe more?) he halted England attacks by attempting very impossible offloads, one of which led directly to an NZ try. Nonu was pretty anonymous in the first test but shat all over the england backline yesterday. Admittedly that is not all twelvetrees' fault but he was certainly missing tackles, whereas Eastmond seemed to contain him very well last week
Curious as to how Tualagi will slot back into this, as I think Burrell has been one of the standout performers in the England backline but feel no matter how superbly he plays Tualagi will get the pick once hes fully recovered. Equally don't think you can play them both in the centres, would miss the creativity of Twelvetrees which he has begun to show in an England shirt this six nations. »
At this rate, England, Wales and Australia could be such a tough group, any 3 of them could potentially miss out. Going to be very exciting. As an Englishman I'd be lying if said I wasn't a little bit nervous.
Hope Warburton is fit for next week because he was everywhere today. Have to hand it to the Aussies, they deserved the win, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the Lions made a single line break. Mystified as to why Vunipola played the whole match, he stepped it up second half but looked absolutely knackered towards the end. What a finale it should be next week though!
