Wales score bizarre try with thirteen man lineout against the All Blacks

Seriously? The WC try, there's no way the French #8 gets to Woodcock, regardless of what Read was doing. He's defending the front jumpers and Woodcock is practically crossing the line before #8 sees him.

It's been over a year, time to get over it.

Pretty sure it was Woodcock. Good time to use it, I agree.

Looked like a Three Stooges routine there for a minute. ;-)

End of Year Tours 2012 - Week Two - Highlights wrap

Thanks for these clips RD! I have been wondering though if the NZ/Scotland highlights were up somewhere from week 1. I saw a full replay link, but not a highlights package. I got a few from one of the NZ websites, but they were pretty poor.

All Black Adam Thomson's boot on Alasdair Strokosch's head

Well, 1 week ban. Seems a bit light, I expected 2 or 3, but what do we expect with the way the current judiciary is set up.

Rob Simmons escapes on-field punshment for dangerous tackle on Yannick Nyanga

Which is why the captain would turn up the culprit in about 5 seconds. For a red card offense, this seems a no-brainer to me.

But let's face it, this situation is extremely rare; the offending party typically has all eyes on him from the moment of the incident. Not sure why that didn't happen in this case, maybe because the ball was well gone already??

Great one handed catch to get that last try!

The Rugby Club Test Rugby Plays of the Year for 2012

Exactly my thoughts. The Pumas try was certainly better. Habana had several nice ones too.

Scott Higginbotham cited twice for knee and head-butt on Richie McCaw

That's a joke, right? You seem to think that a captain's main function is to not commit penalties, since that would make him "somewhat of a cheat" and therefore insufficiently "deontonlogical". (I'll admit, I had to look that one up.)

Whatever you think of McCaw's breakdown work, he certainly leads by example and clearly inspires the guys around him. He's one of the greatest captains the ABs have ever had, arguably the greatest. 76 starts as captain, 67 wins, 8 losses, 1 draw, nearly 89% win rate.
