The Top Tries scored in world rugby in July

Some great tries here, but my favourite is the Fijian try against Tonga. Those two big bumps were brutal, and then rounded off with one of the most accurate inside passes I've seen for some time.

Laurie Weeks sent off and banned for multiple punches on Jannie du Plessis

I never thought I'd say this, but the Stormers front row is looking as good as any in the competition this year. Kitshof and Koch have destroyed just about every scrum they've faced. Probably a little too soon to talk about the option of Koch at Bok tighthead, but he's certainly a guy to watch. If it's pure scrummaging you're after, the other tighthead to consider is Julian Redelinghuys of the Lions. Short and very powerful, you never see him going backwards.

It might have been an open-hand slap to the back of the head, but you get slaps and you get slaps. And the doctor appeared to dish out a pretty solid one here. I wouldn't have enjoyed that. Yellow sounds about right.

How Weeks managed to muster such convincing incredulity at his red card after landing at least 5 clean punches to the face deserves special mention. Stayed in character very well.

Yoann Huget's horrific looking face stamp against Bordeaux Begles

This was 100% intentional, and brutal. And what makes it even more disgusting was the pretend "trip" and the premeditated apology that immediately followed to give it some kind of believability. This is one of the worst stamps I've ever seen. Can't believe there are so many here falling for the accidental thing.

Friday Funnies - Henry Seniloli's premature showboating costs Treviso a try

Ha ha, that's funny.

On the Fleck blind-spot tackle - I agree - he was pretty easy to dislike. Also, you won't find a more down-to-earth bloke than Deon Kayser. So poetic justice all round.

Upon reflection, I think you'll agree that Carling did get a little carried away here.

Munster and Glasgow book places in Guinness PRO12 final

I know all refs wear earpieces connected to battery packs and stuff strapped to their bodies, but why does Nigel Owens always look like he's been shoplifting a week's worth of groceries down his shirt?

Ha, what a complete tool.

Damian de Allende's great form continues with big hit against the Brumbies

I think De Allende is a great player, but I just can't see him unseating De Villiers or Serfontein at inside centre. And then there's also Francois Steyn. Really, really tough position to compete for.
