Tipuric and SOB don't just have form in pointless recent matches, they have it for most of the last 2-3 years too: and more than Heaslip, Croft or Warburton actually. Heaslip and W have had well dodgy longish spells recently too (not just injuries, actual dodgy spells)
I know this is a comment stream on SW but as the post also lists the Lions team, I think a far bigger issue is that it now looks like Sean O'Brien and Justin Tipuric won't start in the opening test. Yes Croft and to an extent Warburton played well in the last match, but SOB & JT were impervious. real pity that.
@themull gridiron without (many) pads or (many) stoppages would certainly appeal to at least some americans. Probably mostly high level college related still in US and Canada there - stand to be corrected? »
