Sonny Bill Williams puts the shoulder in against the Highlanders

Since I don't consider myself an SBW hater, I'll answer for those who do.
SBW is a great player with a lot of decent skills, but he often leads his tackles with the shoulder (when it's not with a horizontal arm, or an elbow). This is just stuff he learned in League. He should get over it. But it's taking him a long time to do so ...

The greatest thing about Union is that it's a challenge to stop a fully-launched bulldozer with your arms and upper body strength only. In League all you need to do is smash into people shoulder first: takes less skill, and does a lot more damage to both players. In other words it's not very interesting, and I certainly wouldn't call it hard rugby. Simple rugby, rather. Or crude rugby perhaps.

Hold on, I am more or less saying the same thing that you are saying (about SBW's League-thuggery).
I put "tackle" between quotes because what SBW does is NOT a tackle in the Union book!

SBW is a League player who just happens to enjoy playing Union but doesn't quite get it yet (even Chris Ashton has made more progress in that area).

It's not the first time that I've seen him "tackle" (between big "" quotes) with an elbow, a shoulder, or a Japanese high punch, in typical League-thug fashion.

The only sad part is that he's not yet capable of admitting he does it, and instead prefers to complain about being "punched" (between huge "" quotes) by an "angry" opponent.

James O'Connor drops the F-Bomb during half time interview

I am also always horrified when I have to sit and watch a panting rugbyman answer a journalist's boring question (especially when the question is of a "aren't you doing something wrong out there?" variety).

Aha Cartman! Respectoooo-mi-autoridaaaaad!
Well "casser les couilles", breaking (one's) balls, is kind of a common expression, although it's definite swearing.
I think that just like adult nudity in public is commonplace in Sweden, and mild-mannered policemen are commonplace in Britain, mild swearing on TV in France is quite common. It's just one of these cultural things.

1) Horrible hairstyle

2) I love the way that every rugby player, at half time, speaks extremely fast, uttering words at Mach 3. The brain just seems to flip the power switch on. This is surely the reason why a minute lasts a long time when you're on the field, but mere instants when you're waiting on the sideline.

3) About swearing, I don't see Australia as a puritan country, I gather it's just that O'Connor is a well-brought up young lad? Here in France there's swearing on TV all over the place. I've even heard congressmen say "you're breaking my balls", for instance, or "damn shit!" during prime time TV, but it's altogether never really injurious, it's more like cussing.

France bounce back with convincing win over Argentina in Tucuman

France B vs Argentina C!
The first French try comes from an illegal hold of Contepomi, should be penalty for Argentina. The 2nd Huget try (catches an aerial ball) comes from a mistake by the Argentinian defender who also jumps from the ball. When you're last in the line of defense, 20m from your try line, you don't jump for the ball unless you're sure you can get it.

On a side note, great to see the game come to the US! One day Americans will see the light and stop watching that parody of a sport (the one with forward passes).

First tackle a bit late and shoulder charge => depending on prior penalties is penalty or yellow (red only if they had been doing that all match long)
Second tackle is a double elbow charge with no intention of wrapping the arms, yellow (or red if repeated similar tackles)
