Is Carlin Isles the world's fastest rugby player?

"I mean Ngwenya the lightest of the bunch is .16 seconds ahead of Rokocoko, but I'd rather have Rokocoko for the added weight."

I always feel these tiny gaps between the fastest people are, in the end, unimportant. Sure Ngwenya is quick, but I'd rather 24-second-100m Cory Jane on the right wing.

New Zealand beat France to defend the South Africa Sevens 2012 title

That's some good kicking by Mikkelson

And Kurt Baker, as good of a player as he is, comes off as such a dick in most games I've seen him play

Rob Simmons escapes on-field punshment for dangerous tackle on Yannick Nyanga

I don't think Australia is in much of a position to start dropping players for that

All Blacks win the Rugby Championship with Argentina thumping

On the last point, I've been thinking. A lot of the time if NZ concedes a penalty, or too many and get a yellow, nothing happens. There's 3 points, people may get tired, but often the opposition still doesn't score. I know they don't go out there to kill but if they can survive ten mins with one man down, they may as well go all out and toe the line of the laws. Concede a penalty? Who cares, Dagg breaks and sets up Jane for the try anyway.

When other teams lose a man, they generally concede at least a try too. But with NZ, there's no real need to worry - most of the time unless its a close game or against top opposition then it doesn't matter. Might as well play as hard as possible. Also probably why other teams/fans complain about them "repeatedly infringing".

Case in point, the 2nd Irish test this year (Dagg yellow in 70th, yet we were the next to score and win), and the 3rd Lions test from '05 (IIRC, Umaga got a yellow, Lions got 3pts, we scored two tries while he was out).

The All Blacks retain the Bledisloe Cup with convincing win over the Wallabies

Yeah that was a one sided match. The Wallabies did have good defense overall, but every now and then the ABs broke the line, ran it 40m upfield, and dropped the final pass. I feel about 2 tries went begging, which sucks.

I think it's a bit unfair for so many people to call for Deans to be sacked. Australia is a good team, no doubt, a lot of talent, they just have one problem - 2-3 times a year, they have to play one of the strongest and most invincible looking All Blacks teams of all time.

All Blacks take the lead in opening Bledisloe Cup clash vs Wallabies

Dagg had a huge amount of space for his try. Good to watch.

Beale had the single most forgettable game of his life. He knocked it on cold right before Jane's try (which is what lead to the scrum).

Someone elsewhere also mentioned that with the penalties, scrums and lineouts, there was 64 stoppages of play in 80 mins of rugby. Really didn't have any flow.
