France start Six Nations campaign with solid win over spirited Italy

look at how TrinhDuc kicks the ball the second time on Clerc's try: amazing skill!!!
3 days of preparation really isn't enough at this level for the French. I wish Club Presidents were a bit less gready and let their players at least half as much time as the other nations...we'd break every team by 10!

Morgan Parra vs George Chuter, and Manu Tuilagi simultaneous yellow

Well...let's say they'll meet again in the 6 nations? but will Lawes get a shot at Parra with Dusautoir and Papé kicking his arse up and down the field...?

something else you can tell about Parra: the guy's a real geezer: not afraid of anyone nor anything, although he's smaller than the ref he never escapes when a tackle has to be made, wether the guy in front of him is a hooker or a wing... "les bleus" player call him "petit con", means "small prick" but with a lot of affection in it: reminds me of Agustin Pichot... the guy's gonna be a star one day: hes was only 22 at the RWC and look where he drove his team, although he was playing fly-half for the first time! and the All Blacks needed him of the field at all costs (remember what Rishit McCow had to throw at him to send him off) to win!!!
===>> considering he had the best stats for kicking, (around 95% I think) during the RWC, he wouldn't have missed the winning penalty Trinh Duc was given!

anyway, f**** the All Blacks who, although best team ever, cheated their way to get the Webb Ellis, and hope we'll get back at them one day (a huge hit from Dusautoir on McCaw, would be the best!)

Montpellier turn it on at home against Stade Francais

he'll definitely start! but I disagree when it comes to Beauxis: the guy is getting better and better with Toulouse, who are much more of a ball-in-hand team than was Stade Français. Beauxis should have dropped SF ages ago and would've been equal to the likes of O'Gara (his feet certainly are) and Wilkinson...

LOVE the fact we (French) have 2 veery different guys at n10: TD is a ball carrier, marvellous tackle breaker (just look at his try against the All Blacks a few years back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oukb-2-jTGc&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL23A3ABDC4044979C ) then again, what we lacked to become a really good team, is a good-footed n°10 who can keep the other team in their 22s once the job is done. and for that, I'd say Beauxis has one of the strongest foot that I know! so we score with TD then Beauxis comes in and keep them at bay...if such plays can happen, I think we have good chances this year in the Tournament. Then again, compared to Wales and England we might look like 2nd division...dunno

John Carter's shiner from Dave Allen punch - Oxford vs Cambridge 2011

I am sooooooooo JEALOUS of how sport, especially rugby, is treated in England. Here in France, the equivalent of an Oxford-Cambridge match would probably be Assas-La Sorbonne, and you'd be so disappointed by the little care given by universities to sports...

That is really great, chapeau bas les rosbifs!

Will Skinner red carded from the bench as Harlequins beat Toulouse

obviously, I'm absolutely in no way saying it was Rolland's purpose! merely saying it didn't suit us as much as it would have suited any other team

and you have the absolute right to have it!
now, if you watch it on the French side you'll know we weren't really happy with it either: the best way to annihilate a French side is to say it's favorite for a game. and with Warby being sent off, the French were supposed to win by much! and that's exactly the kind of pressure the French cannot handle...just watch it in the history of Rugby: the French put their names on every major upset (first of all, being the victory over the ABs in 1999 and even in 2007). Whenever they're expected to lose, they'll pull the best game ever. when they're expected to win, they sh*t in their trousers and end up either with a close, undeserved win, or with a loss that'll shake the rugby world...

"so now when one player makes a mistake ... the whole nation is the same". LMAO!!!! where do you come from mate? it's been the case for the French eversince the creation of the game!

I think they're waiting for a French player to do that in order to set an example...the real ban'll fall then: a straight year, because, you know, you should not interfere with the game!
such rubbish... penalty, where it was kicked, and red. period.
