Like many I though Haskell was amazing, he'd been pretty dam good for wasps for most of the season. But I thought once he went to play in New Zealand and Japan, he'd given up on international rugby and was basically traveling the world, while playing some rugby on the way. But he really has stepped it up to a new level. Even came across well on the post match interview, laughing at himself for running into the post and convincingly claiming to revel in the pre-match atmosphere.
For the past 3 years now, I've been osculating between thinking England can win the world cup and England won't even get out of the group stages. Its no different with this six nations. Not only does the first game take on huge important, its the first scrum. »
Strange situation with the England team. Its been some time since they've impressed me this much, the first team, the squad players and a bunch of decent youngsters coming through. But that world cup group is making me very nervous on there day Wales an Australia can really turn in on.
I don't hate him, but "the splash" always comes across as far to arrogant, when he's compleatly by himself and has a free run at the post its just about ok, but he took an especially wide arch in order to do it, making the conversion far more difficult.
I remember when Cipriani started playing for wasps, commentators and myself penciled him in as a star of international rugby for the next 10 years, I'm sure the same will happen to this guy, i'm english put I hope it does happen. »
