How does he continuously get picked for England is beyond me!. He has shown countless times that he is a liability and personally I dont think he would be worth the risk! It's not like he is a world class game breaker and its not like England have a shortage of decent hookers either..

Idiotic and clumsy but I don't see it being really dirty or intentionally dangerous..Deserves the ban, maybe 3 or 4 weeks just to knock some sense into him...
DOC has always been a player who has been prone to hack at thew ball when it comes loose and I guess his instincts here took over again..

It actually beggars belief that he hasn't been a mainstay in the english squad for the last two years..At club level he is the best performing English player in Europe imo..and if he were in the England squad i would say he would probably be the most valuable player in the English pack besides maybe Dan Cole...he would likely be the strongest ball carrier in the english pack and would without a doubt be the best english player to contest ball at ruck time...
Perhaps I'm putting too much emphasis on his performances at club level, but he has consistently dominated in the vast majority of big heineken cup game he has played..dominance which reminds me of Sean O'Brien's erc player of the year season and just look how successful he went on to become..
Given the short amount of time between now and the world cup I don't see him playing a major role for England, and thankfully so from everybody else's point of view..
There's still a chance to bring him in for the 6 nations but given how stubborn lancaster and co have been about him so far do you really think they'll change their tune now? maybe a defeat to Aus on the weekend would put enough pressure on them to make a change..

Why not wait the week until all international games have been played? Seems bit ridiculous to me...

The problem I see with Cooper is that he's almost like an Aussie version of Michalak..Can be awesome sometimes with that natural bility and flare, but to be honest I think the fly half position at this level demands more stability..The world cup game against ireland in 2011 always comes back as a good example..he often tries to do too much with the ball and puts his team in bad positions..That kind of attitude is ok for outside backs maybe who might be able to afford that bit of flair, but at outhalf you have to be on constant control at international level..Make your kicks, make your tackles and keep the field position in your favour.
In saying that I havent seen him play this year at all so maybe he has improved in that regard..

Lucky for you then that the World Cup is going to be played in a lovely hot, dry and peaceful climate ey?
The best teams play good whatever the weather..The AB's are continually awesome in wet or dry or windy conditions...South Africa in particular should be well able to play the conditions up north better than most..They have an awesome pack, a great full back and very good half backs...pretty much the blue print for playing in difficult weather conditions..

Great video...Althoughit would be a huge undertaking I would be really interested to see those statistics but for the Heineken Cup in its entire history

Yea I was shocked that once the good angle of the grounding was shown that it was only shown that once and was actually immediately switched...
To those interested the grounding occurs at about 1:11-1:13 in this video...
Regarding the match..Toulon are just too good a side for Munster to have been making such amateurish mistakes like they did in that first half...Absolutely horrendous knock ons killed them in the first half> If they ever had any hope of winning those 6 points gifted to Toulon straight after scoring two penalties of tehir own sealed their fate..They played extremely well for portions of the match but were outplayed for large portions also...If it wasn't for that amazing try saving tackle by Zebo at the beginning of the second half it could have been over then and there I think..

There was an angle which was shown once which clearly shows that Zebo touches the ball down..And even if there wasn't a camera angle to show it, the touch judge was sure he got it down so why bother going to the TMO...The tmo may not have been able to find an angle where it showed the ball being grounded, but the touch judge himself said he seen it grounded..Why risk it not being awarded when you are sure it was legitimate try...

I don't think anybody is questioning the referee's integrity here..We, who disagree with the decision, are merely stating hat he made a very big mistake..None of us said it was intentional, which would be an attack on his integrity..All referees make mistakes, but that doesn't mean you can expect people to be quiet when big mistakes are made...Sweeping mistakes by referees under the rug would be the absolute worst thing to do for the sport..They should be held accountable for bad decisions, or at least for continuous bad decisions, as they have been this year in Super Rugby..
