Wesley Fofana scores outstanding try vs Toulouse after just 39 seconds

With Fofana and Rougerie playing so well you'd be a very brace man to bet against Clermont..Only way a team is gonna beat them in the form they're in is to starve them of possession...

Jason Robinson picks BOD as captain in starting British & Irish Lions XV

The last time Ireland played Australia, Healy won MOTM and the Irish scrum was dominant for large portions of the game

Jason Robinson picks BOD as captain in starting British & Irish Lions XV

Most bookies have stopped taking bets on lions captain and Warburton has now moved to very short odds...Not that Warburton as captain would be bad, but for the Lions I've always thought a more senior player as captain would be better...

Jason Robinson picks BOD as captain in starting British & Irish Lions XV

Seems like a lot of people underestiamte Rob Kearny, as they did during the last lions tour when he ended up just losing out to Roberts for best lions player of the series...he was European Player of the year last season too..the reason he dos not seem to be involved as much this season is because teams are actively avoiding kicking the ball to him, due to how good he is..he is probably the best in the world at FB under the high ball, has a monster boot and is always reliable to set up good ball when returning kicks...

hard to argue any of Robinson's selection..Hamilton at lock is an option for me and if Best's form doesn't improve he could be under pressure at hooker too..Wouldn't be terrible having an all Welsh backrow, but can't see any way in hell you leave O' Brien out of the team..The man gets through an enormous amount of work throughout the course of a game in both attack and defence, making impact in both areas...he also has the plus of being a major cog in the backrow which dominated Aus at the WC...

Paul O'Connell knocks out Dave Kearney with clumsy kick to the head

Not too much in it really..of course it looks horrible but its just very clumsy by O'Connell..From what i can tell there was no ruck formed, the player had presented the ball and it was there to be played by both teams..Clumsy by POC but I still don't think that warrants a ban...ban's should be for malicious or illegal play, while this was neither...

James Downey's huge hit on Mike Brown at The Stoop

people might finally see why Ireland miss him so much too..A lot of what POC does is unseen..He's not known for running guys over or making huge hits..He puts in an enormous amount of work in the tackle area and carries a lot of the dirty ball in order to set up the enxt real phase of attack..

Perhaps the most important aspect of having him around though is simply organisation..The line out is imeasurably better for both Munster and Ireland when he is the one leading the pack...They are a much more organized unit and a lot of the silly stupid mistakes which have crept into the Munster and Irish game (in both set and open play) as of late can be helped if he returns to the fold..

Another few performances like this one and he could be wearing 4 or 5 for the Lions..

Ma'a Nonu puts the shoulder into former team mate Piri Weepu

Gaelic football, aussie rules, hurling, ice hockey, american football, soccer in old days...not entirely sure it should be legalized given how it may become dangerous if it was a blindside hit..

Even so, it's not nearly as dangerous as some are making it out to be..It will hurt the player for sure, but rugby is about hurting a guy in the tackle, not seriously obviously but winding a guy or giving him a few sore ribs etc...In terms of serious injury, so long as it is shoulder to shoulder (side on) then there really isn't much more danger involved than a guy getting absolutely creamed after catching an up and under...

While it is illegal, I don't see why shoulder charges so long as it is shoulder vs shoulder should be illegal..Of course shoulder charges to the chest and back can be dangerous but shoulder charges to the ball carrier's shoulder are allowed in plenty of physical sports and personally I don't see how it is any more dangerous than your average big tackle..

Six Nations Week Four Highlights Wrap

Agree with Aston and Heaslip, but have to disagree with Kearney..he has arguably been Ireland most consistent performer(in the backs anyway) throughout the championship, has yet to make a mistake..Adding to that, he is the best fielder of the ball at FB in the world probably and has set up a lot of good go forward ball when running kicks back, I'd say he should almost certainly go and at the moment I'd have him starting...
